I've had a snek character lying around for a couple of years now, so i decided to give her some attention. I think she's neat.

She's a Dekaron (starship CO). It's an ambiguous rank given to all Union starship captains, civilian and military. Dekarons can command a wide variety of starships, be it a small surveillance craft, a fuel tanker, or a huge flagship bristling with weapons.
Her collar bars indicate the rank. A two-part badge indicates her division(Star - Command) and military branch(Sword - Navy). Both are made of a variety of copper alloys, usually brass or tin, sometimes bronze or gunmetal, depending on the world of manufacture. Same goes for buttons on the uniform, although various polymers are used, instead on alloys. Badges and bars use a molecular bonding method that holds them fast to the fabric and they can be removed at will
