TFF is coming up, and needed another piece for the art show, so I decided to work on a sketch of Ramona from Unicorn Overlord! Really enjoying the game so far.

Originally this was just going to be an ink sketch, but was testing out a brush pen and realized it meant the ink I used was waterproof. So, I went a bit further and used some watercolor and poster colors to finish this piece!
It's been many years since really working on watercolor work - save for one commission I'm finishing soon. The brushes I used this time were last used in 2017 I believe.
Also, would anyone have an interest if I set up a Patreon for the sketch work? No pressure to actually join if answering - I'm just curious to see if that's something that would work.
Almost all of the sketches I've done last year were in my personal time to improve, and I can't really justify offering them as commissions right now for the time they're still taking me. I'll be doing a lot more in April/for a few months this year, but I have to be conscious of the time commitment and trying to bring in income again soon. I've honestly not made much at all the last year or so and have to look into where to go from here.
But also, the last time I've done a Patreon it didn't work out, and a lot of the sketchwork I've been posting just... Isn't getting much notice/the videos really haven't gone anywhere. Marc has honestly been incredibly supportive with everything, and is pushing for me to do some art for myself after TFF. But I also don't want to have to rely on him longer term, if I can work more on my own support.
In the meantime, just going to keep working on improving where I can. Apologies for the longer post, may delete some of this later.

I married the fox, myself, but Ramona's cool too. Glad to see the game getting some love. Lots of mid-level popularity characters these days who just get entirely overlooked in favor of the low hanging fruits, so, this is nice to see. :3
Enjoy TFF. I'll be hitting Wild Nights instead, but I enjoyed my time at that con during the early years. Don't delete the rambling. It's okay to describe your thought processes and motivations.

Oh, the fox is definitely on my list of future fanart for the game - it's just been very fun drawing all the character designs. I've also definitely played way too much already.
Enjoy Wild Nights! I haven't been before, but looking it up it looks like a lot of fun.
I also just feel bad leaving those type of ramblings in. Mostly because I know I am in a lucky position now, and it feels like anything negative could potentially put someone else down unknowingly. That, and I know I'm not going to stop drawing even if I may need to shift focus in the future. I appreciate the comment though!

It's sad that such is how the world tends to operate these days. Having to dampen our anxieties, ignore the complexities and subtleties of our emotions, etc.
Getting noticed is incredibly difficult, even for people who already have a substantial following. I've had similar talks with a good friend, and it's mostly just a symptom of the times. Everyone's pulling back, so to speak.
As someone who has to live on disability income of less than $12k a year, it's tough to talk about money and tangential things. But I do have empathy for your situation. Make the best of it, yeah? Friends, family, those close to you, appreciating your passions...
And yeah, UO is fun. :3 You'll get over 80 hours in it easy. (You can remarry after beating the game, btw, so just have fun as you go!) Nice to see some traditional. This piece has a real nice old-school feel to it, something I miss seeing.
