Centaur's Fate
In which one guy's day gets immesurably ruined by a mysterious package.
Featuring transformation into a big cowtaur, mental changes, reality shift and a cutesy ending. If you like Alcea and Beyla, please check out the Folders I've tagged this with 🙂
This was another pining-for-my-bestie story (if you couldn't tell) - it took me six months to write and I didn't plan it out very well so it might come across a little unfocused I don't know. I had fun writing the transformation and wrangling a happy ending out of it though!
Many thanks to

I think you got it right! As someone who does tend to enjoy mind-change TF as an escapist reverie pretty often, it’s important to recall at least once in a while that there is weight to a life being left behind. I really only enjoy mind-change stories where the new life is even better than the last — granted, however, that there may be cases where ”better” is subjective and niche!
I'm glad we're on the same page here - if i'm going to enjoy reality shift or identity death it's gotta be because the new life is a really good time.
I'd probably still rather TFs happen without the reality shift - the juxtaposition between a changed person and the normal world is a big appeal, and you don't have to worry about leaving your life behind - but for these centaurs they really needed to be in a new fantasy world for it to work :)
