First real time trying to fully render a piece using the grayscale technique + ambient occlusion (AO). Took a few days, but I'm as happy with it as I can be. I think the one thing that's docking it points in my head is that the pose itself isn't the most dynamic or action packed, but the perspective combined with the backlighting adds an unexpected challenge. I rarely if ever have drawn body hair, especially not curly/wavy body hair, not to mention chubby/fat characters either, so Zar's entire character design is a whole new thing for me. I've been kind of rotting and fermenting for the past 7 years with my orbiting around Mok, so it's good to branch out.
