Original description: So DeviantArt decided to add a "Sell your art" button to the image page. And my opinion on it? It's dumb. Why the hell would people want to buy or monetize art? That's literally not what art is about. It was already bad enough with subscriptions and locking images behind paywalls like something out of a AAA game! With the way DeviantArt is going with all this buying and selling obsession,
things do not bode well for the site's future...


Ohhhh boy I think I did truly predict that the future was NOT gonna bode well for DeviantArt. Seriously, you would not believe how much worse it's gotten! From the mature filter abuse controversy that's coming up in November 2022, to the unfair image deletions that were that one last push to get me to start working on this here archive on FurAffinity. Not to mention that now my homepage has a bunch of scummy Core Membership ads too, some even advertising the use of AI art and other cringe crap like that.

This is basically an edit of me and a Newgrounds Tankman calling that crap out, ironically before the worst of what DA would do to me. There's actually been many users who've left DA over this stuff, such as AndrewDickman, Rimou, and even the infamously iconic KPhoria. I sense an impending doom for DeviantArt, and I'm glad I had the foresight to start making stuff on Newgrounds when I realised what was up!
