Here’s a little excerpt from the story. See above for the full file ^^^ “Welcome back, Ms. Steele,” a short, white-coat clad, gray-muzzled doberman greeted her. “You gave us quite the scare when S&R brought you down.”
Andrea’s eyes went wide and despite the mountains of blankets laid on top of her, she broke into a cold sweat.
“You are one very lucky woman," he offered, sitting down at her side.
“W-why … Why do my hands burn?” she asked slowly, her voice raw and weak. She craned her neck to look down at herself, wincing as her muscles cried out against the slightest movement. She was bandaged from the shoulders down.
“We were able to save your arms,” the doctor began, a slight grimace on his muzzle, “but the damage to your hands was considerably worse.”
His patient shot him a panicked look. “Did you amp-” a bit of acrid bile rose to her mouth and she swallowed hard. “Were they amputated?”
