I like to imagine that since he's a kind but fair king, when some of those tiny nano micros decided to serve and worship him, even if they try their best, Rauru will not feel them at all, BUT since he do knows they are in fact worshiping and are doing their best to serve his soles even being unable to feel them, he will grant them protection, knowing that such a small beings efforts are meaningless and yet they still decide to do it shows him their loyalty and devotion towards him.
