Finished a commission for someone I did a ref sheet for on discord. <3 I really liked this one, the dynamic lighting in particular was pretty fun and getting to stare at flying foxes a whole lot <3
My initial preference was for a milder, lower contrast shading. The client liked the punchier more colored shading better and both are good. Maybe I just like pastels and subtle colors an inordinate amount lol
Also backgrounds like this are why I often give backgrounds for free as a bonus. Some floodfills and filters make it feel less like they're floating on nothing. Do ya'll prefer your characters on backgrounds? Or floating in space?
