’Close your eyes, give me your hand, let me be one to judge for your life is over’’
Kaida, when the gods of origin and creation had began making mortals there was a constant debate on who was right or wrong, among themselves and the mortals there was always a discussion.
While gods are what they were they had a most mortal-level-flaw in bickering and waging wars for small to no reason.
‘’Amaroth’’ the god of the gods at the time turned to ‘’Zethia’’ and ‘’Choyres’’ the god of evil and the god of good and asked them to make someone who could settle the debates giving him endless headaches.
Zethia and Choyres agreed, the god would of course be male as was all gods at the time, and the god would be in the color of truth and honor with a reddish orange and have black stripes symbolizing that no one’s pure, that we all have scars and stripes of wrong in us. They gave him white on his snout, ears and underbelly as he was to always go with the truth which was the color white, forth.
They made him tall and appealing, they could not decide on an eye color so they went with green from the eyes they both had, and a body to match the other gods as the first case of obesity or fat was yet to exist.
They gave him a long beautiful head of hair in white and a thick tail with a brush like tip, he was given a one-armed robe in white silk like fabric and a yin-yang necklace with thick heavy beads on it. He had a mark on his back, a tiger and a wolf and a dragon chasing in a circle symbolizing himself, Phryne and Zhetta.
His eyes open never, the color of his eyes only show when he judge someone to absolute extinction execution meaning he reaps the soul and body sending their energy and essence to the older gods to be merged and cease to exist in any trait as an individual.
Kaida, the tiger of truth and Karma. He loved his work as he was equally good and bad meaning it merged into a third kind of ‘’karma’’ where he had none and all. He could relate to anyone on their feelings and judged harshly during the first great war, shooting through it ending battles by taking down the strongest people in them.
Because of his unique god makeup despite him going to bed with countless women he never had a child with them and many were in fact left inexplicably infertile after as much as one time with him.
When the wars ended he began wondering what the point was at the time, Zethia was gone and dead since so long and Choyres missing since the third war, what was his purpose? Loneliness?
He walked the great west forests for a seemingly endless time avoiding the mortals while almost meditating on what to do next until he stumbled upon a beautiful area and spoke to Nocturne who had found that one have to make their own purpose, not look for it.
He took the words to heart and went on to move to the central continent and take over a city where good morals and behaving was the norm. He installed a tyrant like dictatorship under his rule and after twelve years no crime anymore. Since he can sense how one feel he was also able to know and not assume, that his people in general were happy and taken well care of.
He went on to run the kingdom into modern times, anytime the southern emperor or northern ruler god dragon had any impact on his nation with their wars he’d send a warning to stop over his land or they would suffer.
With that his neighboring nations often chose to go under his rule for protection making his kingdom the fourth biggest one in the central continent.
Unable to share his endless immortality and youth he had many concubines and women but no wives, children or close friends. He found joy in order, good and kindness and always kept an eye for something he hadn’t seen before.
That’s when he first met Daphne the goddess of inspiration, the first god he’d seen in person in quite some time. He immediately hunted her down from his palace and questioned her on who she was and where she’d come from, squatting with his toes on a fence post to make a show of his nosiness he was rejected by a wave of the hand.
Kaida spent the next ten years sending her presents, decorating in her favorite colors and doing whatever possible to gain her attention and approval to find her feelings never changed from something he didn’t know what it mean.
One night when she was to leave his land she sat down by his throne as he excused his people and listened.
‘’You seek, you seek to please me and everyone else but what does it do for you? I sense your inspiration and infatuation is alive based on how you feel in the moment, but what’s next? I don’t mean you seek what’s not yours to have, I’d have been yours long ago if not for why it’s not possible, but I sense you haven’t found purpose and what you’re meant to do, built to do?’’
She told him.
‘’I think we should make of us what we wish, some gods are made for one purpose and serve another’’
He replied.
‘’As is true, but are you happy?’’
She asked.
He thought of it and looked down thinking and looked up with his eyes ever shut telling her ‘’I don’t think I know what happy is, I experience curiosity and interest but I don’t think I felt joy the way the mortals do, the way their faces change, the way they move when they reach joy and orgasms, the way their lips curl up and the way they enjoy the moment, I’d like that.’’
‘’So what do you want to do then?’’ she asked him as he quickly and gently took her head in his hands and kissed her on the mouth, his lips curling just a bit as she allowed him to linger longer.
She moved on up sitting by his side holding his hand as they rested their heads together sitting quietly.
‘’I’m a relic of the old gods, I begin to think they didn’t know what the hell they were up to’’ he said joking
‘’Same here, you’re not wrong’’ she chuckled.
Kaida knew right from wrong, good from bad, just from injustice, holy from unholy and well meaning from malicious. But he just then discovered looking out on others and looking in and feeling may not be the same.
