Chapter 04
A brand new day has begun and the sun starts to rise already at 03.20 because it is the middle of summer. Olle and Beata's sleep has changed so they don't sleep as deeply as they did before during the night. Olle and Beata have stopped snoring and are breathing quietly and calmly.
Beata's body becomes restless and she moves more and more in her sleep. Beata involuntarily stretches out her long dragon arms and the sharp claws make large scratches on the table leg that is right in front of her. The large tail moves restlessly back and forth like an angry cat might do. The back legs scrape slowly against the floor. Olle also starts to move in his sleep and he moves his wings impatiently. Olle's wings bump into Beata and she makes an impatient humming sound. Olle also moves his front and back legs and they scratch the floor and the sharp claws make big scratches in the wooden floor. Beata makes several involuntary sounds and sometimes she almost sounds like a creaking door and sometimes like a purring cat.
The hands on the clock slowly tick forward and when it is 04.10 am Beata wakes up from her sleep. Beata opens her big yellow eyes and she immediately sees that she is not in her own apartment and that she is lying on a light brown wooden floor. Olle has such a wooden floor in his kitchen and it doesn't take long until Beata realizes that she is in Olle's kitchen. Beata's brain is sluggish and she still can't remember what happened the previous day. Beata looks to her left and sees a giant sleeping dragon and she involuntarily recoils but when she looks down at her own hands she sees that they look like the hands of a dragon, complete with long and sharp jet black claws.
What is happening?
Beata almost panics and she starts to breathe very fast while making involuntary whining noises. Beata hears that she doesn't sound like she usually does and that doesn't make her calmer, quite the opposite. Beata closes her eyes tightly and wishes that this is just a strange and terrifying dream but the powerful dragon hands are still in front of her when she opens her eyes again. Beata realizes that the dragon hands belong to her and she moves the sharp claws and they scratch big marks in the light brown wooden floor
Oooppps
Beata looks to the left again and when she sees the sleeping dragon again, her memories from the previous day start to come back. Beata was free the previous day because everyone at work has a holiday and she spent most of the morning listening to good music. At lunchtime, she felt hungry and had intended to go out to eat, but loud bangs were heard from Olle's apartment and her kitchen lamp fell down, which made her go up to Olle. Beata remembers when the rat ran out of Olle's apartment when she opened the door, but she also remembers when Olle attacked her and vomited lots of green slime into her mouth and also bit her hard on one arm. Olle was a big dragon but Beata always thought he was just dressed up as a dragon. And then.. Yes she got terribly hot and turned into this dragon that she is now.
Beata growls involuntarily as she remembers how Olle, like a dragon, vomited that green slime right into her mouth and forced her to swallow it and also bit her. Olle more or less raped Beata and forced her to become a dragon even though she didn't want to. Beata looks angrily at Olle and most of all, she wants to push her sharp claws into his neck and tear it apart. But the knowledge that Olle might know how to make her normal again prevents her from doing so. Beata remembers that she was going to meet some friends today and probably spend a whole day at Liseberg. As long as she's turned into a dragon, it won't be like that. Beata thinks it's unfair that Olle chose her and turned her into a dragon. Olle and Beata have had a good relationship since she moved in almost a year ago. Olle was very helpful in the beginning and taught her a lot, but lately they haven't met as often.
Beata looks at her big dragon hands and realizes that she hasn't seen herself in the mirror yet. Beata may be a dragon but she is still a woman and it is important for her to look nice. Beata can see that the dragon scales are dark green/dark brown in color but otherwise she doesn't really know what she looks like so Beata goes to the bathroom and tries to look at herself in the mirror that hangs above the sink. Beata is so tall that she can't see her whole self in the mirror, but she still likes what she can see. The big wings are black with lots of red stripes and Beata unfolds the wings completely and starts to think about how it will feel to fly with the big wings. It is probably a wonderful feeling.
Beata sees lots of dark brown lumps and they especially cover the rear parts of her large dragon body and it takes a few seconds before she realizes that it is dried poo that is on her body. Beata remembers when she was in the shower and pooped so much and realizes that the poop must have splashed up over the rear parts of her body and she feels disgusted to have poop on her body.
Beata enters the shower and turns it on, rinsing off all the dried poo that is on her otherwise fine dragon body. Beata sets the thermostat as hot as possible. Normally, she doesn't have such hot water when she showers, but everything feels different now that she's transformed into a dragon. When Beata has rinsed off both the front and the back, she turns off the water and goes back into the kitchen. Olle is still lying on the floor sleeping and Beata is starting to feel lonely even though she is not alone. The strong feeling of loneliness grows enormously and Beata feels herself starting to feel sad.
Her normal life may never return. She will perhaps never again meet her best friends, never again dance at the disco with handsome guys, never again stand in a clothing store and choose beautiful clothes, never again have a good beer and chat with friends, never again sit and grill sausages with a large gang, never again ride an exciting attraction at Liseberg, never again.....
Beata soon starts to cry. Small silvery tears begin to flow from her eyes and soon she is heard crying. The sounds coming from Beata's big dragon jaw make her even sadder and Beata starts to cry even louder. Beata's shrill cry echoes in the kitchen and Olle wakes up to the sound and wonders what that sound is. Olle catches sight of Beata and he watches as the silvery tears run down onto the floor. Olle gets up and walks over to Beata.
- Why are you crying?
Beata blinks away a few tears and looks at Olle.
- Because my old life is ruined. I will never meet the friends I like again and never try new clothes again and never dance with a handsome guy and never again...
Olle interrupts Beata.
- But on the other hand, you have big wings and can explore the world in a completely new way, and we have each other. Think of the awesome experiences we will both have. They may be better than your old experiences. Besides, none of us knows if we can turn into humans again.
- But both your skin and mine melted.
Beata starts to cry again and Olle feels he has to comfort her somehow. There is a risk that those who live closest to Olle will wake up to Beata's crying and that might not be so good. If she had sounded like a human it wouldn't have been a problem but dragon cries really don't sound like human cries. Olle looks out of the kitchen window and sees that the Avenue is completely empty of people. It's a great opportunity for them to test their wings without being seen by the humans and Olle starts singing a 70's swedish song called "Pröva mina vingar".
Jag ska ut och pröva min vingar.
Se vad vår värld kan ge.
Jag ska bryta alla band så är jag fri sen.
Och jag ska resa runt i hela världen.
Lära av allt jag ser.
Kanske jag kommer hit en dag igen.
Olle's voice is very grumpy and reminds very little of the original artist Anne Kihlström's voice, but Beata recognizes the melody and remembers that she recently thought about trying the wings and she stops crying and looks at Olle. Olle looks back lovingly and smiles at her.
- What do you say? Shall we go out and try our wings now that all the people are asleep? I think it's an excellent opportunity. Maybe we can try and see if we can breathe fire too.
Beata thinks Olle is right and she nods. Olle starts looking for something to keep his house key in while he flies. Olle looks in the closet where he has smaller bags and finally finds a purse that is made of leather but the most important thing is that it has a long strap that can hang around his head. Beata looks questioningly at the handbag and wonders what Olle will use it for. Olle smiles at Beata.
- I'll have the house key in it. Otherwise, we will not enter the apartment building or apartment when we return.
Beata almost feels a little stupid for wondering what the purse would be used for. Beata feels that she would not have done as well as a dragon without Olle's help. Beata feels ready to try her wings but as she walks towards the front door she feels a certain hunger. She needs to eat first. Beata turns to Olle and he has already walked over to the fridge. Olle grins at Beata.
- I feel like we have to eat before we leave the apartment. I fix food for both of us. When we are on our way and flying, we can perhaps look for food for later in the day as well. I thought we could fly to some farm and get a cow each but first we're going to eat and when we get out we're going to try our nice big wings.
Beata walks up to Olle and she rubs her cheek against Olle's and she makes a cooing sound. Olle takes out a lot of meat that he has in the fridge and places it on the kitchen table. Olle looks apologetically at Beata.
- Since we are dragons, I don't care about setting out plates and other things, but we eat the meat like at a buffet without cutlery and plates. I hope it's okay for you.
- It's absolutely okay. Hmmm. That ham looks very good. I think I'll eat the whole thing if that's okay with you.
- You are welcome to do so. I choose to eat the ready-made meatballs and pieces of meat left over from yesterday.
The two dragons begin to eat the meat and they are completely silent as they eat. It doesn't take long until the table is completely empty of meat and they feel full. Beata licks some fat off her jaw with her long tongue, but Olle doesn't care even though there is a small piece of meat hanging from the lower part of his jaw. Olle goes into his bedroom and gets the key to the apartment. Beata stands at the opening to the bedroom and she can see Olle's old melted skin on the bedroom floor and she remembers when her own human skin melted away,
Beata and Olle go out into the hall and open the front door and go out on the stairs. Olle locks his front door and puts the key in his purse. Apart from the humming ventilation, it is completely silent in the stairs and the stair light is not on, but both Olle and Beata can see very well without any stair light. Olle looks towards the elevator but realizes that he is far too big and heavy to use the elevator. Olle looks at the stairs and he thinks they have to be careful going down them so they don't slip.
Olle puts his big dragon hands down on the first step he can reach and the hands feel stable against the ground even if they stick out a bit from the step. Olle thinks that he doesn't need to use as many of the steps because he has longer stride length as a dragon and he tries to reach the next floor with his dragon hands and it works just fine. The rear body follows and soon Olle is standing on the same floor that Beata lives on.
Olle looks up at Beata and she looks worried. She is unsure if she dares to go down the stairs. But Olle calms her down.
- You just have to put your hands in the middle of the stairs and then you'll soon be down at my place. I promise it will be fine.
Beata looks a little unsure but tries anyway and it works perfectly and she is soon standing next to Olle. Olle looks lovingly at Beata.
- Then there are only two stairs left and then we're out. We can do this if we do the same as when we went down here.
The two dragons make their way down the rest of the stairs and when they reach the last one they are no longer nervous and scared. When they have both come down to the bottom floor, Olle opens the large outer gate and holds it open so that Beata can go out of the apartment building. Olle goes out through the outer gate and when they are both outside, they stand looking at the large park that is right in front of them. Some of the birds have woken up and the crows are croaking tiredly in the trees.
Olle looks at the birds and thinks that if they can fly, so can he. Olle has seen that the birds often lower their legs and jump into the air when they start to fly. Olle looks at Beata.
- If we tense our back legs properly and throw ourselves into the air, we should be able to lift into the air quickly without problems. But first we should spread our wings properly.
Olle spreads his wings so they are fully spread and Beata does the same. Olle feels the cool morning breeze blowing against his wings and it's a wonderful feeling. Olle closes his eyes and lets the feeling take over his whole mind.
I can fly. I can fly. Yes, I can.
Olle opens his eyes again and grins at Beata because he sees that she feels exactly the same and she looks very dreamy. Olle approaches Beata and he makes a humming sound and she opens her eyes again.
- Then we fly!
Both Olle and Beata flex their hind legs and throw themselves into the air while frantically flapping their large wings. The two dragons quickly rise into the air and soon they are above the apartment building and they continue upwards at a very fast speed. When they are several meters above the apartment building, they stop rising and fly forward instead. The two dragons flap their powerful wings and they move them forward.
Neither Olle nor Beata is in a hurry so they stop flapping and let the wind carry them forward in between and when they start to descend again they flap again until they are up at the same flight level again.
Beata feels a huge feeling of happiness in her chest and she can't hold it in any longer so she roars out loud with joy. Olle feels exactly the same and also roars with joy at flying. Their guttural roars echo across the Avenue but almost all the people in the tenements are asleep so they don't hear them. A dog hears the dragons roar and it whines and presses itself against its sleeping owner.
Olle flies closer to Beata and bumps into her with his wings and she looks almost offended for a few seconds but then she flies closer to Olle and bumps into him. Both dragons are amused by this. Olle tries to make a loop and it doesn't quite work as he wants, but he tries again and this time he manages to make a nice loop. Olle flies above Beata for a while but then he flies lower and is at her level again. Beata is not that interested in making a loop. She likes to feel the wind in her wings the most. Olle smiles at Beata.
- Surely it was worth turning into a dragon?
Beata first wants to answer that she would have liked to be human again, but she cannot lie and say that she hates this. She likes being a dragon after all.
- It's fun to fly so I guess it was worth becoming a dragon. Yesterdays stomach ache was horrible though and the way i pooped everywhere.
- Yeah right i remember that. You were like a big poop machine.
- Right. Enough talking about that
Olle and Beata fly over a wheat field and Olle looks down at the large field and thinks that it will surely burn heavily if he spew his fire on it, but Olle is still not sure how to spew fire.
The two dragons fly on and they are no longer in the city but in some small suburb. Here there are both apartment buildings and villas, but the apartment buildings are not as numerous and tall as in the city. Both Olle and Beata like the view and they fly next to each other but not so close that they bump into each other. Olle and Beata fly past fewer and fewer apartment buildings and soon there are only villas far below them. Olle wonders how the people in the villas would have reacted if they knew that two large dragons were flying over them right now. Maybe they were scared. Dragons can breathe fire after all.
Spew fire. Yeah. We have to try that.
Olle looks at Beata and it takes a few seconds before she notices that Olle is looking at her.
- What?
- I thought that now that we're out flying anyway, we have to try spewing fire.
- Here? In the middle of the villas?
- Why not?
- Do you know what we do when we spew fire?
- Not yet. But we'll have to learn. I don't think it helps to belch much, but we should probably push with the throat and stomach, I think.
- It is perhaps best that we land first.
- That could probably be a good idea.
The two dragons look for a suitable place to land and Olle soon finds a very large mountain behind a block of villas. Olle and Beata start to fly lower and lower but keep their balance with their long tails and wings and soon they manage to land on the big mountain without any problems. Olle and Beata retract their wings and look for a good place where they can spew their fire. There is a large area on the mountain where very little moss grows and Olle thinks it is a good place and he goes there and Beata happily follows. Olle can't help but laugh because Beata behaves like an obedient dog following its owner and Beata wonders why Olle is laughing.
- What is so funny?
- Uh, nothing. I just got a little feeling. It's nice to be a dragon.
- Well, after all, I had wanted to be human, but it was absolutely fun to fly.
- There you see. I promised it would be awesome. Here is a good place to train us to breathe fire.
Beata looks around and sees that the only combustible thing nearby is the green moss and she thinks it feels good. Beata does not want to create a big forest fire. Olle looks towards all the villas and Beata hopes he doesn't intend to spew any fire on them. Beata doesn't know any of the people who live here, but she still thinks it feels wrong to burn down their villas. Olle turns his head and looks lovingly at Beata and he nods to himself.
- Then so. My instincts tell me to push against a soft part of my stomach and make a quick movement in my throat while opening my mouth as wide as I can. I've tried trying to find the soft part and I think the part near the groin is the right one. Test and press against it.
Beata finds the area that Olle means and pushes against it, and she is sure that Olle is right. This thing about opening her mouth wide is easy but she thinks about which part of her throat to make the quick movement and she tries a few different places and soon finds a place in her throat that seems to be able to open and close with a light click. Beata looks at Olle and smiles.
- I think I have found the right place on the stomach and also the place in the throat. I'm ready.
- Then so. Then we spew some fire then. I start.
Olle presses against the soft area of his stomach while making a quick movement in his throat and opens his jaw as wide as he can and it doesn't take many seconds before Olle can feel a hot fire coming up his throat and it squirts out through his open jaw a few seconds later. The fire feels warm in the throat, but not uncomfortably hot. Olle is very surprised when he notices that the fire that shoots out of his jaw is liquid like burning tar or liquid lava. The yellow-red fire floats over the mountain and flows down through small cracks in the rock, igniting the green moss. Some of the fire flows into a pool and envelops all the moss that is near the fire pool and the flames rise rapidly.
Beata looks at the floating fire in surprise. She thought a dragon's fire was just dry but Olle's fire is like liquid lava. Olle stops spewing his fire and he looks very pleased. Olle looks at Beata.
- Your turn. If you want, we can go closer to the forest.
- I don't want to start a big forest fire, so I'd rather stay here. There is still some moss left that hasn't burned.
Beata presses against the soft part of her stomach while she makes a quick movement in her throat and opens her mouth as much as she can. Beata pushes harder than Olle did, but she is not aware of it. Beata feels a rapidly rising heat in her throat and soon she also spits out liquid fire, but Beata's fire is light blue instead of yellow-red and Olle is impressed because he knows that this fire is very hot. The light blue fire floats out all over the mountain and a small tree standing nearby starts to burn due to the high heat even though the floating fire doesn't even touch the tree. Beata sees that the tree is starting to burn and immediately stops spewing her fire and she looks both embarrassed and amused at the same time.
- Whoops. The tree was not meant to catch fire.
Olle can't help but laugh and at the same time get a little jealous of Beata.
- It doesn't matter. Damn, what hot fire you spewed. If the fire had been drier, you might have been able to weld with that fire.
- Oh! Was it that hot? I didn't think it felt so hot in the throat.
- It was very hot, believe me. When the fire is light blue instead of yellow-red, then it is very hot.
- Hmm. I think I pressed quite hard on the soft part. Maybe that's why it got so hot.
- Ah ok, I'll try that.
Olle presses against the soft part of his stomach but this time he presses harder than he did before and when the liquid fire starts to shoot out through his jaw it is as light blue as Beata's. The light blue fire flows everywhere on the mountain and ignites two trees standing near the already burning tree. Olle thinks this is really funny and he causes some of the liquid fire to start running down the face of the mountain. Those who live closest to the mountain have a small plantation with flowers and fruits and the liquid hot fire begins to flow towards their plantation and Beata is upset when she sees what is happening.
- But stop. Why should you destroy their plantation?
Olle stops spewing his fire and looks at Beata in surprise.
- So what? I just want to have some fun.
- That's not funny. That's just mean. I'm afraid there will be a forest fire now that you ignited the other two trees. Look how strongly they burn.
- Nah, they'll go out soon. You don't have to worry.
- But the fire spreads quickly if...
- Uh, it doesn't affect anyone who lives here. Stop worrying about everything. We are dragons after all. What do dragons do?
- They spew fire, but that doesn't mean we have to do like them and destroy for those who live here. We don't have to act like nasty dragons just because we are dragons.
- What are you talking about? We are not nasty dragons.
- The residents of the area would probably think differently.
- Whatever. Now I think we fly on.
Beata looks at the three burning trees and she feels that she really wants to stay to see what happens. The trees are not that close to any big tree and there is also not that much vegetation around the three trees, so Olle is perhaps right when he says that the fire will soon die out, so there is perhaps not that great a risk of forest fire. Beata also feels that she wants to fly on and she looks at Olle.
- It's going well. Where should we fly?
- We'll see.
Olle unfolds his wings so that they are fully spread and Beata does the same after a short while. Beata looks down at the plantation with the flowers and fruits and there is only a little smoke from the earth and she relaxes. Presumably, both the flowers and the fruits can survive Olle's liquid fire. Olle flexes his hind legs and jumps into the air while flapping his strong dragon wings and he gets higher and higher in the air. When Olle has gotten a bit up in the air, Beata also flexes her strong hind legs and jumps upwards while flapping intensely and it doesn't take long until she is at the same high level in the air as Olle and the two dragons look at each other and grin widely . Olle and Beata look down at the villa roofs, which become smaller and smaller the higher up in the air they fly.
Olle flies towards the very first villas and he looks down at them and starts to fly at a lower level. The large villa roofs come closer to the large dragon's body. Beata follows and does the same and she wonders if Olle has a plan or if he just wants to explore how well he can fly. Olle doesn't even seem to notice that Beata is flying right next to him. The villa that Olle is flying over right now has a very flat roof and it's a wooden roof and it looks like the villa owner has painted part of the roof but ran out of paint halfway through.
Suddenly Olle starts spewing yellow-red liquid fire at the ceiling and the hot fire splashes against the wooden ceiling and it catches fire immediately. Olle continues to spew his fire on the roof and the liquid fire starts to run down all the outer walls of the villa and it doesn't take long until the whole villa is in flames. The entire villa is burning heavily and there is a crashing sound as the window panes break from the intense heat. Beata thinks that the people who live in the villa don't have a chance to get out of this fiery inferno even if they are awake, which is unlikely, and she doesn't understand why Olle is acting like this towards the people who live in the villa. Olle makes a light laugh.
- Oops, here it will be well-grilled people.
Olle flies on and arrives at a villa with a very sloping roof. The roof itself appears to be made of some kind of light metal and is completely black. There are old curtains hanging in the windows and Beata can see through two large windows upstairs and it can be seen that an elderly couple lives here. Olle begins to spew light blue fire on the roof and the fire quickly flows down to the outer wooden walls and ignites the villa. The black metal roof appears to be melting from the fire and soon high flames are visible from under the roof and Beata realizes that there is also a fire in the villa's attic. The high flames from the outer walls soon reach the roof and the entire villa is fully engulfed in flames. Beata can hear a screeching smoke alarm from inside the villa but she knows that none of those who live here will be able to escape from the villa but will be burned alive. The fire crackles loudly and Beata feels sorry for the elderly couple.
Olle flies on to the next villa and this villa has a slightly sloping roof and is elongated and shaped like an L. There is a newer swing and a large trampoline in the large garden and there are lots of children's toys in the garden so Beata guesses that is a family with several children who live here. The villa has a wooden roof and Olle circles the roof for a few seconds but then he starts spewing his light blue liquid fire. The roof ignites with a loud whoop sound and the liquid light blue fire flows down the exterior walls of the villa, igniting them in a matter of seconds. All the windows of the villa explode from the intense heat and soon the whole villa is a big ocean of fire and Olle laughs at how much the villa is on fire. The only thing Beata can think about is the poor children who are being burned alive.
Olle flies to the next villa and this villa is not built of wood but cement or concrete but that doesn't stop Olle. The sloping roof is made of sheet metal and Olle flies even lower down and he can see straight into the living room but also the kitchen. Olle spews his light blue liquid fire at the large living room window and it bursts immediately from the enormous heat. Olle spews his bright red fire through the broken window and Beata can see how the fire flows through the living room like a river of lava, igniting everything that is combustible. Olle flies even closer to the broken window as he continuously spews his liquid bright red fire and it is seen from the windows at the back of the villa how the fire flows from room to room, igniting them. Soon this villa is also in flames and Olle looks at the villa and feels very satisfied. The fact that the villa was built of concrete or cement did not help against Olle's fire.
Olle flies higher and Beata follows. Beata does not want Olle to spew his fire on more villas. She thinks it's enough now and she flies closer to Olle. Olle has already caught sight of another villa that he intends to spew his fire on and he flies closer to the villa. This villa is also built of concrete but has a sloping wooden roof and Olle flies over the roof and looks down on it. Beata calls out to Olle.
- No. Don't spew more fire. That's enough now. No more fires. Let those who live in this villa live.
Olle doesn't care what Beata yells at him but he spews his light blue liquid fire on the roof of the villa and it ignites in a few seconds and the rest of the liquid fire runs down the cement walls of the villa and the windows burst from the heat. The roof of the villa collapses and Olle spews more liquid fire through the large hole in the roof and the flames in the villa soon grow higher and higher. The front door of the villa opens violently and an almost naked man runs out of his burning villa and looks up at the two dragons flying above his villa and the man roars angrily at the dragons but neither Olle nor Beata can hear what he is shouting because he is drowned out by the roar of the flames. Olle looks amused and he is just about to spew his liquid fire on the man when Beata tackles him hard and he flies almost straight into a tree standing in the garden of the villa, but he manages to turn away from the tree at the last second. Olle gets mad at Beata and roars angrily at her but Beata shows no fear and tackles Olle once more but not as hard. Olle roars at Beata.
- What the hell are you doing? Quit that nonsense.
- I told you not to spew more fire but you didn't listen.
- You don't decide what I should do.
Olle flies over to the tree he almost flew into and he spews his bright red fire on the tree so it ignites and Olle quickly flies on to the next villa and spews his light blue liquid fire on the villa and one of the outer walls ignites in a few seconds and Olle incessantly spews the pale blue liquid fire through a broken window and watches with great pleasure as every room turns into a fiery inferno. Olle sees how a newly awakened woman is engulfed by the flames and a few seconds later he smells the strong smell of burning human flesh.
Olle flies towards the next villa and it is built of concrete and has a tin roof but Olle lands on the lawn in front of the villa and approaches a large living room window. Olle spews his light blue liquid fire at the window and it explodes from the intense heat and Olle continues to spew his light blue liquid fire without stopping and the fire flows through each room igniting them. If the fire had been bright red, it could have been mistaken for lava. A smoke alarm starts to screech but the intense heat melts the smoke alarm and it goes silent. The liquid fire floats towards the basement stairs and flows down the steps and begins to ignite the basement as well as Olle continues to spew his light blue liquid fire. There is no way the people living in the villa will survive this.
Suddenly Olle feels something sharp penetrate his back and he stops spewing his fire and he turns his head so he can see who it is that is hurting his back and it turns out to be Beata. Beata has sunk her sharp claws into Olle's back and she looks furious. Olle roars at Beata and she pulls her claws from his back but she moves quickly towards him and hits him in the face and she has her claws fully extended and there are small wounds on Olle's face from the sharp claws. Olle roars even louder and Beata roars back. Olle tears Beata's face with his sharp claws and she roars louder than before. The two dragons stand in front of each other, anger shining in their eyes.
Several lights start to light up in the villas nearby and surprised exclamations are heard. After a short while, the front door of the nearest villa opens and a man and a woman stand in the doorway, looking at the two dragons. Olle sees the two people and roars at them and they go back into the villa. The windows of several villas open and several people stand and look at Olle and Beata. Olle growls angrily at Beata.
- Are you satisfied now? Now people have discovered us thanks to you.
- I told you to stop setting the villas on fire, but you didn't listen.
- I burn as many damn villas I want. It does not concern you.
- Not as long as I'm with you. You burned down a villa where a whole family with children lived. It was the villa that was oblong and had a large garden with a swing in it.
- I sure as hell don't care about them. We are dragons and then we do what dragons usually do.
- But we are transformed people with sense. In any case, I have sense.
Olle lifts his head and looks at the people standing in the open windows looking at him and Beata and he can see that many of the people look horrified and angry and he realizes that they hear what he and Beata are talking about. Olle roars at the people.
- Just stand and listen to our private conversation. When our conversation is over, I will burn you and your villas.
Beata roars at Olle.
- Leave the people alone. You've done enough damage already. You have already burned down 7 villas. No more fires, Olle.
One of the people standing in the windows throws a larger glass jar and it lands in front of Olle. Soon another person throws a pan and it also lands in front of Olle. It takes a few seconds but then the other people also start throwing things at Olle and some of the things land near him and some of them further away. Olle gets angry at the people and he spews light blue liquid fire on the lawn and the fire flows towards the nearest villa. Beata stands and looks at the people who are throwing things at Olle and she thinks that it is probably best that they fly away before Olle gets so pissed off that he sets fire to every villa. Beata stands in front of Olle.
- Olle, you say we are dragons and do what dragons usually do. Let's fly because every dragon does. Let's test our wings and see where they take us. We can fly away to the sea and look at the horizon. Ignore these people. They have no better sense than this.
Olle looks at Beata but also at the people in the windows who are still throwing things at him and he is attracted by what Beata said. Especially the thing with the sea and the horizon attract him and he spreads his wings again and flexes his hind legs. Beata also spreads her wings and flexes her hind legs and both dragons jump into the air at the same time and start flapping and they rise higher and higher into the air. The people standing in the windows are staring at the two dragons, hoping they won't come back to the villas.
Olle knows that there is a big sea on the outskirts of Gothenburg and he thinks about which direction is closest to where they are right now and he realizes that Långedrag is the closest so he starts to fly south and Beata happily follows and she makes a little loop in the air because she is so happy when Olle no longer spews fire on the villas. Olle increases his speed on the wings and flies faster and Beata does the same. The wind starts to blow in their faces but the two dragons just think it's nice. The strong tails of the dragons ensure that they fly straight ahead and are not affected by the wind. The dragons fly over several large fields of oats and Olle resists the temptation to spew his fire on the fields. Olle can see and hear several fire engines that are on their way to the villa area that they have recently left.
Olle starts to smell the sea in his sensitive nose and he knows he's heading in the right direction even if he can't see the sea yet. Olle and Beata pass a large forest and Olle becomes curious if there is a large cave in the forest and flies a little lower and Beata wonders why he is flying lower. Olle explains that he wants to see if there is a cave in the forest and Beata thinks he is a bit silly. Beata doesn't want to live in an old cave and she hopes that Olle doesn't either. Olle sees no caves and flies higher again and the two dragons soon pass a major highway but there is hardly any traffic this time of day. The two dragons begin to approach Långedrag and they pass several farms and Olle can smell several farm animals from the farms. None of the animals seem to be outside and Olle is disappointed by that. If they had been outside, he and Beata could have landed and taken each animal with them and eaten them when they had flown where there are not so many people.
Olle and Beata pass some smaller forests after several farms and after the smaller forests the sea spreads out. The sun has risen and a large part of the horizon is yellowish and Olle and Beata think it is incredibly beautiful. Olle and Beata look down at the blue sea as they fly over it and they pass two larger beaches but they are completely empty of people this time of day and the two dragons land on a two large rock. Beata looks lovingly at Olle and he looks back. There is a campsite near the beach that the dragons have landed on but none of the campers are awake, they are sleeping in their tents and caravans, completely unaware of the two dragons down by the beach.
Olle walks up to Beata and he presses his body hard against hers and she almost falls off the big rock she is standing on and she lightly hisses at Olle.
- Nope. Not so close. Not right now. I'm still mad at you for what you did.
- Huh. You didn't look too happy when I burned down the villas.
- Should I have looked happy? It was just stupid of you to burn them down.
- Ehm, I'm a dragon after all and so are you. By the way, are you as hungry as I am? A cow would taste good right now, or why not a human.
Olle looks away towards the campsite when he says the last thing and Beata shakes her head violently.
- Forget it! Now we fly from here if you have such thoughts.
- But hey, we're dragons so it's only normal that we spew fire on their houses and eat people.
- No, we are transformed people and that means we have the sense not to set fire to villas and eat innocent people.
- I intend to fly away to the campsite and take at least one human victim. They all smell so tasty. You can stay here.
Olle spreads his wings and flexes his hind legs and throws himself into the air and begins to fly towards the campsite. Beata also spreads her wings and flexes her hind legs and throws herself into the air and she starts to follow Olle but he is faster and has already reached the camping area and he is looking for some tent that is easy to destroy and grab and catch those living in the tent and it doesn't take long until he finds a smaller tent that looks easy to destroy.
Olle flies low over the tent and he drags his sharp claws against the fabric so that it breaks and then he flies even lower and manages to pull up a sleeping person with his sharp and long claws. When Olle has gotten higher into the air again, he throws his prey into the air and dives down after it, and soon the human is sitting in Olle's big jaw. The man screams for help, but Olle bites right across his head so that the man's skull cracks with a crack. Olle flies to the cliff by the beach and lands and swallows the human's body. Beata just has time to see when the man disappears down Olle's throat. Olle flexes his hind legs and flies up to Beata again, looking very pleased.
- That was tasty. Now we fly back.
Beata wants to smash Olle's face because she is so angry with him but she follows him anyway and the two dragons leave the sea and the beach and soon approach the farms again.
