BRAINSICK - Martyr to Repetition (2018)
9x12 Posca paint pens on Strathmore Mixed Media paper, 2018.
The ferals of Aban-Buil consider Finch to be a god of death. He doles food, water, and medication in The Long Hall. When hallmates disappear, the explanation is simple: Finch killed them. Where else could they have gone? How else can they explain the syringes hidden in his coat? Mosquito—as some call him—is their bane; the last thing any animal sees before leaving their designated program.
Finch understands the impact he has on these animals. He calls them his own, but never aloud. She can’t hear him. If she does, his years-long game ends, and her experimentation persists unhindered.
Nothing can be allowed to last forever.
