technically no! they can kiiind of get a bit of a sense of thing from a little hypersonic buzzer in their collar used to echolocate, but other than that they're completely blind!
their ears looking like eyes is purely mimicry- tho i do rly like playing with the 'pupils' like they're moving around to look at stuff xD maybe it can be explained by the inside of their ears being weird shaped or something so the pattern appears to shift to point at wut they're listening to or something silly

That's very interesting! So their collar sends out a sound that nobody else can hear and they use that to see their surroundings! That's what I got from that at least.
And that Idea with the ears just looking like eyes is very cool too! Its like how some butterfly or snakes or even owls have patterns that look like eyes! And when you mention how they look like they're moving because of the shape of the ear I think of that one dinosaur sculpture illusion!
