Fact, most definitely a fact. Only thing a TV is good for is turning it on and then lounging on top of it. Preferably with your tail dangling in front of the screen and swishing back and forth occasionally *nodnods all sage-like*

Cats (and particularly dogs) also physically cannot see TVs the way humans do. The refresh framerate is wrong, and the colors are wrong. It's a technology meticulously & specifically tuned for humans. That's why our furbabies are more interested in interrupting us for attention, rather than sitting & watching TV with us. Same goes for computer screens (partly explaining why cats like to get between you and your screen).
