Golden Fluff
Peter’s breath came in ragged gasps as he sprinted through the ruined pool complex, his sneakers slapping against the cracked tiles. Moonlight streamed through shattered skylights, casting eerie reflections in the stagnant puddles left behind by years of neglect. The air smelled of moss, chlorine, and something strangely sweet, like honey and warm fur.
And then there was the laughter.
Delightful, playful, and coming from many directions at once.
"Oh, Peter~" The voice whispered gently into his ear. He felt her warm breath, but whenever he turned his head towards her voice, there was only empty space. Her voice was foxy, teasing, dangerous. "Why are you running, little one? Don't you want some cuddles?"
Peter shuddered, barely dodging a fallen lane marker as he sprinted into another corridor, heart pounding. His camera, strapped to his chest, bobbed wildly, catching glimpses of the moonlit ruin. He had come here for a ghost story about missing people. Lost places had always interested him. He had expected abandoned pools and eerie silence. But he never would have thought that there was truth in these ghost stories!
The giggling came again, curling around him like invisible hands, playful and patient. Peter clutched at the cold walls, trying to catch his breath. He knew he couldn’t keep running forever. Her presence seemed to be everywhere and no matter how far he ran, there was no end to the ruin.
"Silly little thing~" the voice purred into one of his ears, letting him snap his head in her direction. Nothing. "You’re making this so much fun for me." She whispered into his other ear. Her voice was amused, alluring, and playful. He was simply her toy, a fun way to spend time.
Then he saw it: movement.
From around the next corner, golden fur bloomed into view. Massive, luxurious fox tails unfurled, spilling into the corridor like liquid gold, blocking his path completely.
Peter skidded to a halt, nearly falling forward into that sea of golden fluff. He turned around towards another corridor. Another way out. But her golden tails flowed from that direction too, blocking his path yet again.
And then they were suddenly behind him.
Before he could react, the tails surged forward, a tidal wave of impossibly soft fur. Warmth enveloped him, sinking into his skin, and wrapping around his arms, his legs, and his chest. They pulled him in backward, deeper, deeper into an endless sea of golden fluff swallowing him whole.
It was warm. So warm. Like a gentle embrace that never ended, never loosened. The more he struggled, the deeper he sank. His breath hitched as the softness pressed against him, stroking, caressing, comforting. It was playing with him. All her tails were, eager to tease him, to bind him, to slowly let him sink deeper and deeper.
"Shhh~ No more running now, sweet thing," the voice hummed, almost a purr.
Through the thick fluff, Peter saw movement. A figure emerged from behind the wall of golden fluff, stepping gracefully into view. Her tails just gave him enough view, leaving his face open while the rest of his body vanished in her golden tails, massaged from all directions. A soft blush erupted from his cheeks.
There she stood in a playful pose with a smirk on her lips. A goddess. There was no other word that could describe this kitsune lady, covered in golden soft-looking fur, better. Nine magnificent golden tails fanned behind her like a living sunburst, most of them going around and binding Peter from behind. Her long golden hair cascaded down her back, swaying as she tilted her head, amber eyes glowing with amusement.
She was beautiful in a way that was impossible to describe, a magical form of beauty. Peter saw her and from that moment on, he simply could not let his eyes wander, as her beauty always led his eyes back to her. A name bubbled up in his mind, a name that sent a shiver over his warmed back, but also gave him a bubble, pleasant tingle deep inside his mind whenever he let it run through his thoughts.
The Great Gold One, Goldie.
She smiled, trailing her fingers easily through her own silken tails, her nails grazing the fur, sending soft ripples through Peter’s prison of fluff. "There we go~ Finally caught you," she teased playfully like a cat that finally got her mouse. Peter tried to protest, but whenever he wanted to speak, another ripple of warm bliss echoed through his body, reminding him that he was hers now and wrapped into her tails, warm and snug and endless.
Goldie giggled again, slow and sweet. She traced a single paw beneath her chin, pretending to think. "Mmm~ Now, what should we do next? Oh! I know." She leaned forward to him, her face close to his, her golden eyes sparkling. With a flirting, amused voice she whispered to Peter: "Cuddle time~"
The tails tightened with warmth, softness, and overwhelming comfort.
Peter could barely think. His struggles slowed, then faded. His mind swam in warmth, in golden, teasing giggles, in the deep, soothing hum of a goddess who never let go. All that was plaguing him, his fears of the unknown, his panic, even his uncertainty, all melted away with the warmth spreading in his mind. Her name echoed again, stronger, deeper, and finally his lips moved: “Great Gold One.”
Goldie, the playful kitsune, smiled brightly as she heard her name. “Good boy~ See? It wasn’t so hard. And for such a sweet boy I have a perfect reward!” Peter felt the tails around him shifting, pulling him backward as the fluff came from all his sides. The last of him sank away into the fluff.
Goldie sighed, stretching luxuriously, letting her tails coil and twist around her like a living throne. She stroked the soft mass of golden fur, feeling the faint, sleepy shivers beneath.
"See? You love it already."
