The 15th day of the month usually indicates a halfway point, however in such a short month, we're already over that point! Doesn't it feel like time flies?~ Well don't worry, because for every time it feels that way, it just means your hair is growing ever more lush, such as today's story!~

Some folks were simply bad at things, at least that's what you tend to get told. That sometimes people just aren't all too great at something, whether that be cooking, cleaning, creating, or in the case of our current subject, singing!

Mametchi was many things, he was compassionate, caring, surprisingly smart & clever...and a terrible singer, something he feverishly denied despite the frequent proof of him being rather tone deaf, but rather than accept this as fact, he took the path of most resistance, seeking some way to improve his singing skills!
Days and nights were spent thinking of just how he could change this fact, perhaps some kind of voice modulator, or singing lessons? Or what about something that could sing for him?

...All good options, but he found something even better. He searched online and found something so fascinating and odd, yet utterly captivating...it was a song that claimed that simply singing it would improve your voice, among other things! Eagerly, Mametchi began to listen...~
...It was a pretty nice song, catchy, bouncy, everything he enjoyed...and he began to sing...much to his surprise, what came out of his mouth was a far smoother, tuned in singing voice, it sounded just like him, but...better!

He sang along happily, utterly delighted with his improving voice, getting lost in the music...as he failed to even notice that his body was beginning to change~

The dark blue upper half of his head began to puff and expand, its' smooth surface turning curly and thick, as it was at first shapeless, yet quickly assumed an all too familiar round shape, engulfing his round, nubby ears in its wonderful, soft embrace...yet despite the fact it should have muffled the music, he could hear it clearer then ever, even IF it was paused it still played in his head, not that he minded~

As he continued to sing, not only did his newfound afro continue to grow, but his very voice began to change, beginning to get deeper, funkier, far more sensual, taking on an impossibly groovy cadence over time as he felt his body grow warm and soft, every inch of it beginning to be engulfed in lush afro hair as his daruma came in, and his clean shaven face was engulfed in a storm of dense, massive, plump facial fluff, a mustache that rivalled even his daruma in size, and a beard that flooded his home and the streets outside~

His voice could be heard for miles as the windows of his home POOFED out dark blue hair that rustled and throbbed to the beat of the music~

...Hours later, at a local dance club, a mysterious new singer was set to take stage that nobody had ever heard of, calling himself simply "Funktchi", the patrons and dancers alike were wowed and awed when this mysterious vocalist revealed himself, an easily 40 foot tall mass of deep blue hair, his face engulfed in golden shades, his voice unlike anything they had ever heard, sounding almost heavenly with its deep, groovy cadences, he was a true king of funk, and it was totally impossible to tell who he once was as he took center stage, wrapping his mustache around the mic and begining his number~

As he began to sing, the patrons were utterly captivated, almost hypnotized by the beat of the music, as before long...
the whole club began to be filled with a rainbow of different afros, Funktchi hadn't just found an audience that loved him, he had found his new permanent backup dancers, and he wasn't planning on stopping until the whole planet was in on his gig~

Probably a slightly more obscure pick, but Mametchi is genuinely SUCH a massive comfort character for me, so I just HAD to give him one of the most indulgent stories yet!~ X3
