I'm not being 'weird', I'm being honest. If someone is not nice and they lie by saying they are, it only proves more of their 'not-niceness' by being greedy and lying that they are nice.

So this guy makes a diagram for FA, something along the lines of "I thought it perfectly fits Marvin - at least his idea of himself!", and here you come and asks him to prove that he's actually nice?

Some people project different personalities onto their fursonnas. Deal with it.

Well... I'm still gonna say that you can't simply call yourself nice. Being nice can only be realised by others.

That's true, but a truely honest person would not hide the fact that he is nice to all his friends and they all consider him nice. I, for instance, am modest to the point of looking down upon myself, which leads all my friends to be sad because they think so highly of me. They do not like to see me look down on myself. Would you have to befriend a person who says they are nice to know for certain if they are or aren't? Yes. But as you said, 'niceness' can only be judged by others who perceive it. That means someone might befriend him and he may be as nice as he can be to them, but somehow they could still mistake it as mean based on opinions they may have that give them a completely different outlook on what's nice and what's mean. So the only way to truly decide for one's self if one is nice or mean, would depend on their motives and morals; what they want in their heart. If they want to make people happy and be kind to others, it doesn't matter if sometimes they fail to make EVERYONE happy, since appealing to everyone is impossible. But simply striving for that goal is a good 'nice' one to strive for. That sort of thing is what determines if someone is truly nice or not.
