What if I never drew a furry again? Not really, my love for funny animal people will never die... but I have been having a lot of fun studying human faces lately and practicing adding some variety to the faces I draw. Sometimes when I design a furry character, the constraints of keeping them within the confines of cute kemono structure feels quite limiting for me, like it smoothes over a lot of features I'd want to emphasize if I was drawing the character as human. The animal aspects of Bella, Nadia, and Nat were never really particularly important, more like, a fun layer on top.
Funny thing to talk about on FA, but it's something I've thought a lot about while enjoying the works of yoshikazu yasuhiko & Naoki Urasawa, I really like the more grounded stylization they use that doesn't smooth out the unique feature's people have.

Yeah, there's a lot of ground that tends to be left untrod with this stuff, although I think it's very common in the larger Internet art scene as well (how many Hot Shounen Moms do we see on deviantArt, furry or no?) I've dabbled a little with trying to vary the types of characters I draw, but I really ought to do more.
(Also getting major Hiromu Arakawa/FMA vibes from that lefthand triptych...!)
