I finally finished a batch of fully new reference sheets for myself and 
yyoshisteven!
So, unlike in my case, the human form isn't really a main form for Sol. In fact, this is the first time there's ever been any sort of design at all for a post-Sol transformation human form. This was more of a "for fun" thing. That said, if you're wondering how Sol can shapeshift beyond just being with someone that can do that to him, well... the explanation is right there. Let's just say a little magic was carried over after unfusing.
