Yeah I doubt that layer is going to protect things for long if it already doesn't do anything. And going back through your recent pics I finally noticed it was even there and in some of them its awful looking. How did I even miss it is the question when some were quite heavy.
Just a great piece, really. It's much more about the lighting than the subject, which is fun, but I'm looking at it more from a technical standpoint and appreciate how you took your usual cheesecake "beefcake fan-service" and made it about demonstrating those impressive technical skills with light sources.
