Holiday Collection of Characters #1
posted a week ago Some Sort of Lizard Dude
While I do still need to get around to the things I have had on the backburner for some time, I was off for 4 days last week for the holidays, and also had artblock. One of my friends, was working on his own set of characters he was making art of, and unintentionally inspired me to try my own had at a similar exercise/project. As such, I rounded up a few of my friends, and a couple as surprises, to see their OCs, D&D characters, and fursonas. This is the first block, with two more I completed over the break; I'm aiming to make two more sheets like this, but we'll see now that work has started up again.
While they are much, much lighter than my typical designs, I'm hoping they came out okay, along with being a way to improve my speed. Rather than focusing heavily on posing and photo references, practicing, and getting it as clean as I can try, outside of doing a quick pose idea, I just do whatever comes to mind first. I've had some highs and some lows whenever it comes to the designs, but I'm overall quite pleased with the results, along with it being received so positively.
Thanks for viewing, and as usual, any feedback is greatly appreciated! Are there areas I should improve or foucs on? I know with Gaia (and Ina to a smaller extent), I do struggle with drawing more feminine characters. Foreshortening I also feel I can do as a hit or miss?
