And here we have some scribbles, reference pieces, and just general concept crap :D
Starting from the top left we can see a scale (sorta) model of the great barrier that embargo's the city. Compared to Tae, who is a very roomy dragon by the majority's standards, the wall is smooth and incapable of being climbed. To fly over it is to damn yourself to death, as proven by an earlier sad picture I refuse to revisit. Ahem.
The collosi invasion began with a rather intimidating creature as seen to the top left. The Collosi doubled in size, then tripled from the first invader's size, before staying relatively the same dimensions. The purpose to this sketch is to reveal the archetype of substance to the creatures, if they can be called as such. They are landscapes and scenery with only two constants; they retain a massive armor that binds them into a golem form, laced with magical runes; and a massive crystal cluster somewhere within their bodies. The crystals are taken for use in the military and fragments taken by the scavengers waiting to loot their corpses. It is used to sustain magical energies and are generally sought after as simple precious jewels.
To the right is a portrait of Tae as a human i guess. he's my persona, the end. He'd look like me, I guess with the earfins to make him different from Hunter. Tae as a human, in this canon character, is actually kinda like a baby of two of my other characters haha. Kilvasi, my blood elf mage kingslayer, and Hunter, my vendetta-ridden blood-lusting monster hunter self. Tae is naturally strong, but is hardly battle trained, at least not as an art form. His magic is also vastly out utilized by Kilvasi's, and would be subject to total domination by someone with as much skill and power as him. However, I think this niche fits nicely since I myself am a jack of all trades, and a master of none.
To the bottom right is a picture for
HypeDragon :D because he stayed in my stream, talked, and proved good company. Rather than drop in, "hi bye" norms from people. The art style I totally stole from
Pheel for the body though haha.
To the center bottom, is a picture of
Dragonnis's character, Talon, and her house-maiden Abigale. Abigale was taken and sold for slavery. Slaves are not seen in high light or respect in the general community, nor is it expected to be seen as anything different. In such an impoverished and dire time, the very life of another is worth some coin to keep up and cook. When Talon's father rose to political power, and moved in to a rather wealthy home in the Western Spire, Abigale could not be far behind. Abigale knew the fate that could have befallen her as a slave, after having her horns ground down, her ears clipped, and her wings removed. Masters would rape, breed, murder, feast on slaves daily. It was also typical for one to be put down for getting pregnant, as a swollen servant cannot properly tend to their duties. Abigale was taken early in her life to serve Talon's father and mother long before Talon was ever conceived. Helping them with their daily struggles and house keeping, as well as general security in the close proximity to the slums. She lived with them, and still does, happy to be kept safe and not abused. She takes pride in her work, and does her best to repay her sires in good work. When Talon hatched, it was Abigale's duty to watch over her while her father tended to politics and succession. As such, Talon has been catered to a world of tenderness and compassion, making her quite naive. However, Abigale could never be more proud of Talon, loving her as her own child.

Now new character time! Garruf. A high ranking officer within the military forces, Garruf is typically the one to lead charges into battle against the Collosi invasions. He is incredibly stern and aggressive to his subordinates, thinking that dominance is the best way to establish loyalty. In fact, he enjoys displaying his complete dominance over those in his company by fucking those in his company. He's shameful of being attracted to men, yet he's far too confident to let that shine through. A misogynist, he believes female dragons should be taking care of the homes and fetching the drakes meals between warfare and rape sessions.
Nothing gets him hotter than a physical challenge.
However, he's quite undereducated, and is easily swayed by the opinions and commands of the military bureaucracy. Sometimes it's troubling to ponder if he's just stupid, or if he has some sort of kink for being told what to do. It wouldn't be out of question to says he's made a few, rather unsuccessful and obvious blundering attempts to coax his superiors into having him.
Due to these incidents, Garruf is not necessarily a very respected individual, by anyone outside of his company.
He hassles the nobles for his indulgences of alcohol and a good meal practically every day. He's often been taken back to the coup, passed out with an erection, totally hammered, in the middle of the streets.
What with Tae and Sshkisk being so remarkably serious characters, Tae not so much as he'll always be too carefree to be noted as "serious", I felt a more comedic relief character was necessary. Don't be fooled by his bio, Garruf is indeed a very vicious fighter, and a very possible threat to anyone made his target. He's just got... Hanging boners for any dragon more masculine than him ups.
