This is a fanart I started work on a while ago for the game Sonic Adventure (DX). This is my favourite game out of the more recent Sonic game series as - in my opinion - it's probably the only one that feels truely like a Sonic game, though some would probably disagree.
I came up with 4 different colour schemes and this was the favourite (and original). I'd just recently started using a new colouring technique and used it here.
This has a few minor flaws, but otherwise I'm very happy with this one :)

I'm not much of a fan of Sonic, but I have to admit this is an impressive and attractive piece.
Incidently, I know somenoe who worked on the "funny" Sonic rather than the "serious" one. He preferred the funny one, but I suspect that's vested interest speaking. Or perhaps it just that he prefers humour to adventure.

Ah, that's pretty cool :)
I enjoyed both series, though I have more of a preference for SatAM, the "serious" one. I suppose I liked the fact that it was telling more of a story and seemed that much darker.
Anyway, I guess I'm something of a die-hard fan. Kinda have to be, considering the quality of the last few games...

Actually, what I meant was that I'm from an older generation, and while I've dabbled a bit with some early games, I never really got caught up in it. Its hard to see why people between 8 and 28 seem to spend all available spare time crashing digital cars or chasing virtual trolls.
I dunno, something to pass the time I guess. Some games can be rather immersive in certain ways like that, or it may be the simple desire to complete it after having started.
I see your point though. When it comes down to it, it doesn't really make much sense, but it's just another form of entertainment or escapism.

Every generation has its time-waster and fav toys. We used to watch television 9 to midnight, given our 'druthers. But that was back when the networks made several hours of new programming every day, instead of run the half dozen same cheap "reality" shows over and over until you get so sick of it that you turn to the news or educational TV for change. Then only to find out that the great BBC series and Ken Burns style documentaries are a thing of the past too.
As for toys, our big thing was slot cars I think.
