Left: The original technique I used, dabbing the colored latex on with a brush and "blending" the lines in. Lines in ears have a nice blending effect, but Latex clogs up brushes up Real quick.
Right: A New technique I'm experimenting with, using a 12-gauge blunt syringe as the paintbrush. Lines are solider, but lacks the gradient blending that the brush did...

Heh: Ya prolly wanna wait till I come up with the dragon one, after I work on three other designs... Moldmaking is definitely not cheap: Starting at $1500 and going up depending on complexity...
I've tried to outsource, too: Manufacturers in China wants $900 just to make a mold for something about the same size of a 3-liter bottle cap!!!

All the parts are real gas-mask parts, and thus it functions exactly as a "Real" gas mask would: Its been designed from the ground up using a real gas mask as a reference, It even has an internal nosecup to help keep the lenses from fogging up. The only thing it lacks are the Certifications, and thus I put a warning stating to not use these in any life-or-death situations. That, and since it is latex, people who have an allergy to latex need to excersize caution in using it. One day perhaps I'll do these out of silicon, but Thats a whole dofferent sport alltogether.
Yupyup I do I make three designs: have a lookie at https://www.wildgasmasks.com for what I put out.
Coolnesses! I'm trying to work out how to achieve the blending in the new technique... That'll be an experiment fur another day!
Still working on shaping yours, Many apologies for the delay as I'm so desperately trying to fill orders! Am wanting to machine the lenses ya sent down till theyre a bit oval-er, for theres an odd sharp point in them that will cause sealing problems if I left them the way they are.

Perhaps your "syringe-ful" of paint/latex could just have a few drops of the "base" colour mixed in between applications, and you "draw" slightly over the first line, and so-on, until you get back to the base?
As for the other one - it's okay, I understand. I'm a patient doggie, and I do appreciate your work on things. I'll look forward to seeing more on it when you get a chance, anyway. :)
