I write science fiction, fantasy, and horror, much of it gay as heck. My debut novel won a Nebula Award, and was one of NPR’s best books of the year. My second was a “Must-Read” in Entertainment Weekly and O, The Oprah Magazine. My books and stories have been published in translation around the world, which is awesome because it gives me an excuse to travel all over the place.

I also like to draw monsters & dinosaurs & hot dudes in peril. And I take a ton of pictures. All the images in the slideshow, above, are my own – except for the ones of my book jackets. Those were created by professionals, which is why they are actually good.
