This is the GR module for Julia. It places a Julia interface to GR, a universal framework for visualization applications. GR allows users to create high quality, engaging visualizations, everything from 2D graphs to complex 3D scenes. With this module simply type in Julia 'using gr', and you can instantly start calling functions in the GR framework API. GR is based on an implementation of a Graphical Kernel System (GKS) and OpenGL. As a self-contained system, integration into existing applications is quick and easy-- simply use a direct call from Julia with ccall syntax. -

An editor for the specification of Graphol ontologies
Eddy is a graphical editor for the specification and visualization of Graphol ontologies. Eddy features a design environment specifically thought out for generating Graphol ontologies through ad-hoc functionalities. Drawing features allow designers to comfortably edit ontologies in a central viewport area, while two lateral docking areas contains specifically-tailored widgets for editing, navigating and inspecting open diagrams. Eddy is equipped with design-time syntax validation functionalities which prevents ontology designers from constructing invalid Graphol expressions: feedback on the validity of the expression is given through color coding diagram elements. Eddy also supports the standard profiles of OWL 2, i.e. OWL 2 QL, OWL 2 RL, and OWL 2 EL (to appear). Moreover, to support interaction with third-party tools such as OWL 2 reasoners and editors like Protégé, Eddy is able to export the produced Graphol ontology into an OWL 2 ontology. -

We present the package Optimizer, aimed at constructing and optimizing general mathematical models of phenomena of versatile nature. It is written in the Matlab algorithmic language and is executed in the Matlab environment with partial functionality in Octave. The convenient visual interface and the detailed manuals are provided. The main benefit of the package is its capability to construct models of any level of complexity in a block-by-block manner. Elementary model blocks can be collected in libraries, and we have already written many such library programs. Many of these programs are already available along with the main package. Currently, the main focus of these is computational quantum mechanics, analysis and simulation of molecular spectra, and general-purpose approximants. The package provides the most reliable modern strategies for linear and non-linear model optimization, regularization, and hypothesis tests. Parallel computing is supported. -
