dbweaver provides a set of tools to extract CREATE statements from a database server and dump them to a text file. These files can be used for editing, source revision control and database migration.

TransferWare is a collection of tools for the Oracle world: the schema version manager TransVersion (tv), the External Procedure Call (epc) toolkit for accessing the outside world from within Oracle PL/SQL and an application Performance Monitor (pm).

The goal of this project is to create an extension to Subversion, a version control system, with database schema versioning support. As a result, it will be possible to control versions of relational database objects, such as tables, views or stored procedures together with source code of the application, hence monitor relation between source code and database schema changes, history of database schema changes and ability to automatically update a newer, or revert to an older revision. Currently, the client supports PostgreSQL and MySQL database systems. Emphasis is put on the client to be extensible, though, so it is possible to implement a connector for another database system. Dolt is a SQL database that you can fork, clone, branch, merge, push and pull just like a git repository. Connect to Dolt just like any MySQL database to run queries or update the data using SQL commands. Use the command line interface to import CSV files, commit your changes, push them to a remote, or merge your teammate's changes. All the commands you know for Git work exactly the same for Dolt. Git versions files, Dolt versions tables. It's like Git and MySQL had a baby. We also built DoltHub, a place to share Dolt databases. We host public data for free. If you want to host your own version of DoltHub, we have DoltLab. If you want us to run a Dolt server for you, we have Hosted Dolt. MySQL comes with a MySQL server called mysqld and a MySQL client called mysql. You're only interested in the client. After following the instructions from MySQL's documentation, make sure you have a copy of the mysql client on your path.
