Open Source Python Data Formats Software for Linux

[[We are in the progress of moving to github]] Metalinks is a project to facilitate data distribution over mirrors and P2P networks. It does so by defining an XML format and the tools to handle these. The metalink files contain all the information needed to download and verify files.

sabnzbd-xmlgui is an Ajax based frontend built around sabnzbdplus. It also provides an xml based API for other applications to easily connect with sabnzbd while at the same time maintaining the existing web based ajax gui.

Modular, network based system for integrating separate multimedia systems

We have moved to https://github.com/MetPX everything on sourceforge is obsolete. metpx is the Meteorological Product Exchanger. Intended for use in industrial/government weather forecast operations, for exchange of meteorological bulletins over TCP/IP.

The goal of this project is to implement an OPC UA communication stack using the python programming language. Currently we are working on a series of articles, describing how we can use python to implement the communication stack. Some code snippets have already been written!

A python program that implements the SMPP protocol and can connect to a Short Message Service Center (SMS-C) or other SMPP compliant software over a network. Generally used for sending and receiving of SMS.

MinimalModbus is an easy-to-use Python module for talking to instruments (slaves) from a computer (master) using the Modbus protocol, and is intended to be running on the master. Example code includes drivers for Eurotherm and Omega process controllers. The only dependence is the pySerial module (also pure Python). This software supports the ‘Modbus RTU’ and ‘Modbus ASCII’ serial communication versions of the protocol, and is intended for use on Linux, OS X and Windows platforms. It is open source, and has the Apache License, Version 2.0.

Python Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) library The python-mms library provides an "mms" module for Python, consisting of classes that facilitate the creation, manipulation and encoding/decoding of MMS messages used in mobile phones.

Gateway from twitter to mail

A Python AIML interpreter with non-compliant extensions. PyAIMLng is an interpreter for AIML (the Artificial Intelligence Markup Language), forked from Cort Stratton's PyAIML. PyAIMLng adds additional features which are not part of the AIML 1.0.1 specification in order to provide the bot master with a rich set of tools from which to build a more believable AIML bot.
