Using PimSched, you can study vocabulary the easy way: while doing something else(e.g. playing a simple game like tetris, or while walking or biking). PimSched has espeak/mbrola read out words from a wordlist(vocabulary/translation seperated by '='), and then schedules the words according to the Pimsleur approach(5 seconds, 25 seconds, 2 minutes, 10 minutes). Aelius is an ongoing open source project aiming at developing a suite of Python, NLTK-based modules and interfaces to external freely available tools for shallow parsing of Brazilian Portuguese. It also includes language resources such as language models, sample texts, and gold standards. Presently, Aelius already offers facilities for POS-tagging and chunking corpora and outputting annotations in different formats, such as in XML in the TEI P5 encoding scheme.

Donatus is an on-going project consisting of Python, NLTK-based tools and grammars for deep parsing and syntactical annotation of Brazilian Portuguese corpora. It includes a user-friendly graphical user interface for building syntactic parsers with the NLTK, providing some additional functionalities.

This is a program (written in Python, with graphics based on the Tk/Tcl framework) to test on vocabulary. It allows users to define their own languages and constructs per language. Afterwards, a dictionary of words can be created and the user can be tested on this dictionary. Currently, it is in v0.8 (Beta) of development. After a stable version is released (v1.0), a more detailed repository will be kept.
