Earth Enterprise is the open source version of Google Earth Enterprise (GEE), a powerful geospatial application suite that enables organizations to build and host custom 3D globes and 2D maps using their own imagery and data. Quality Assessment Tool for Genome Assemblies
QUAST performs fast and convenient quality evaluation and comparison of genome assemblies. It is maintained by the Gurevich lab at HIPS (https://helmholtz-hips.de/en/hmsb). For the most up-to-date description, please visit http://quast.sf.net. Below are just some highlights. QUAST computes several well-known metrics, including contig accuracy, the number of genes discovered, N50, and others, as well as introducing new ones, like NA50 (see details in the paper and manual). A comprehensive analysis results in summary tables (in plain text, tab-separated, and LaTeX formats) and colorful plots. The tool also produces web-based reports condensing all information in one easy-to-navigate file. QUAST and its three follow-up papers (MetaQUAST, Icarus, QUAST-LG) papers were published in Bioinformatics; the last paper (WebQUAST) is out in Nucl Acid Research. -

FeOS is used for the PC-SAFT calculations. The estimated parameters can be used in DWSIM and Aspen HYSYS process simulators. -

PhyloTrack, D3.js and JBrowse for phylogeny and positioning of samples
PhyloTrack is a JavaScript--based software tool that integrates the D3.js library for data visualization with the JBrowse tool for genome browser representation. It requires a phylogenetic tree of the common Newick data format as input, as well as three meta data files for samples, clade-defining nodes and clade color definitions - all in tab delimited format. Functionality within PhyloTrack shows the informative markers at each node in the phylogenetic tree, therefore highlighting clade-defining polymorphism. This functionality has been implemented using the tabix tool on the server side, providing simple and rapid access to the information at each tree node, including informative SNPs stored in VCF-similar files. These informative variants have been established by comparing allele frequencies between strain-types using ancestral node comparisons and FST measures of population differentiation. -

Sharing lists of molecular structures with associated chemical properties is a common task in computer-aided drug design and medicinal chemistry. WebChem Viewer is a simple, free, open-source program that generates HTML-formatted output that can be viewed in any modern web browser, on any operating system (including mobile), without requiring the installation of additional software. The output can also be easily incorporated into existing web pages. WebChem Viewer is released under the FreeBSD license. It was created by Jacob Durrant, a post-doc in the lab of Rommie E. Amaro. -

AirTSP is also named AirTSP (TSP standing for Travel Service Provider). That project aims at providing a clean API and a simple implementation, as a C++ library, of an Airline Schedule Management System. It is intended to be used in simulated environments only: it is not designed to work in the real-world of Airline IT operations. AirTSP/AirTSP makes an extensive use of existing open-source libraries for increased functionality, speed and accuracy. In particular the Boost (C++ Standard Extensions: http://www.boost.org) library is used. This project is UI to guide the user through the steps of home brewing. Each beer has a recipe of ingredients, but it also has a “recipe” for the process to make the beer. This app allows you to load a recipe (BeerXML), guide you through the brewing steps and record any details so that you can improve next time. By default, this app relies on user inputs and feedback from the real-world. There are easy hooks to a link up a real system, so that if you wanted to automate some of the input and feedback it could be possible (ex. read temperature from sensor. Turn heat source on/off).
