The tool is designed for users with two or more monitors who in certain situations would like to quickly change their monitor setup (e.g. enable/disable a TV which is attached to the HDMI port, make an attached TV the primary display to remove tearing switch which monitor is on the left/right...). Along the monitor state and setup the resolution is also saved and restored. The program works by saving a current monitor setup as configured using the windows control panel to an xml file. Once saved the configuration can be quickly restored at any time. Requires .NET 4.0 Framework to be installed. The program is quite simple and in an early development stage. Files, links and folders are organized in several levels as dropdown menus. Various options like appearance, hotkey, autostart and behavior can be adjusted. It is written in C# and using .NET 7. SystemTrayMenu is portable, so it does not need to be installed. After downloading the zip file, unzip the folder, then start SystemTrayMenu.exe. After starting the application the first time you have to choose the root directory. In this directory you should put shortcuts, files and folders (App, Game, Script, URL, Network), which you are often using and especially when you can not find them over the windows start menu search. HovText is a simple open source .NET Framework clipboard manager
HovText removes any text formatting from the clipboard and it works as a clipboard manager that can store and retrieve previous copied texts and images. Any text in the clipboard will be pasted as cleartext without any HTML code, font size, color or formatting etc. HovText remembers all copied texts and it is possible to restore the original formatting on the previous copied texts. It can also save the clipboards to local computer. A typical scenario is to copy a text from the internet and paste this into e.g. Outlook, Word or alike. If the copied text has formatting, then this will be pasted along also and that is often inconvenient as it spoils the current formatting for the document. Some applications has their own way of importing the unformatted text, but with HovText then ALL programs has this option and it works in the same way... all the time :-) -

This project consists of two DLLs (x86 and x64) written in native C++ with plain access to the Win32-API representing the shell extension, a composer written in C# to be used to configure all shell extensions at once as well as of a help file explaining all necessary details. The composer is also available as x86 and x64 version. Note this shell extension is tested under Windows XP (64) and under Windows 7 (32). Furthermore, a parallel usage (multiple installations) of this shell extension is also possible. -
