I recently completed a port of the EffecTV video effects processing system to run as a Freeframe plug-in. This now adds 49 new visual effects to the several hundred that are already available with this widely adopted plug-in standard.

Released under the GPL, EffecTV-Freeframe also significantly expands the range of visual special effects obtainable as Free Software.

Seductive Logic has begun the release process for their Money$hot video switching/special effects program. The first item is a Freeframe plug-in DLL which implements several standard video analysis tools. All windows-compatible Freeframe hosts will (hopefully) be able to load and utilize this plug-in to provide test instrumentation.

Test displays (so far) include: a histogram display showing the distribution of alpha, red, green, blue, & luma components, a waveform monitor, a color vector-scope, an a pixel-dumper which displays the hexadecimal color values for a 3x3 region of interest.
