                     VMware Infrastructure Perl Toolkit
                     ----------------------------------

The VMware Infrastructure (VI) Perl Toolkit is a set of Perl modules that provides a simple
access to the VirtualCenter server or an ESX Server host. The main
focus of the toolkit is to provide classes that enable you to automate
certain activities of the server, and generate reports about the state
or performance of the server.

PREREQUISITES

To install and use this package, you will need Perl version 5.8
(or later). Some modules within this package depend on other packages that
are distributed separately. We recommend that you have the following
packages installed before you install the VI Perl Toolkit:

  Crypt-SSLeay (0.51)
  Data-Dumper (2.102)
  MethodMaker (2.0.8)
  XML-LibXML (1.60)
  libwww-perl (5.805)

These packages should be available from the Comprehensive Perl
Archive Network (CPAN). Visit <URL:http://www.perl.com/CPAN/> to find
a CPAN site near you.

INSTALLATION

1. Perl Makefile.pl
2. make
3. make install
