The Duplicate File Finder by Autosofted is a free tool used to search a specific folder for any duplicate files that the folder and it's sub-folders may have.
After detecting the duplicate files, the user then has the option to simply delete all those extra unnecessary files. Thus freeing up lots of hard-drive space.

Just tried both programs, this one does a quicker job finding and deleting duplicate files. Turns out the person who did the other review "karina" is actually the owner of the other duplicate file finding program.

Just used this one.But DuplicateFilesDeleter is the one that I like most. It is a simple to use, but very effective tool to locate duplicate files in one or more selected search paths.It scans the files and compares them based on Byte for Byte Comparison, which ensures 100% accuracy. You can then choose to delete the selected duplicate or original files. The program is multi-threaded which enhances the performance immensely & performs scans very quickly.
