what a lot of you don't understand about the patriarchy is that it's fundamentally different from other hierarchies of oppression. Almost nobody out there is like "we should kill all women." The people that do think that are a very, VERY small minority. The whole idea of patriarchy is that in order to have power, or feel better about yourself, you have to pick a group to have power over. The root of the issue is not "men are superior and everyone should be men," it's "I'm going to pick this arbitrary trait to lord over other people and convince people with that same trait to do the same." If there aren't any women, patriarchy fails, and they have to pick something else.

THAT is why transmasculinity is so revolutionary. You are actively breaking that border by crossing it. You are standing up to the most fundamental part of the patriarchy - the difference between men and women. You are saying that no, I can be whoever the fuck I want. I can be a man, and so can anyone else. You are scaring the upholders of patriarchy because if we don't have women- we don't have power over a group anymore. Why do you think transmasculinity is so heavily tied to feminist and lesbian movements?

I hear people often say things like "becoming a man isn't a revolutionary act bc it's understandable to want to escape oppression!" and I don't understand how they don't see that it's positioning that belief as correct. Even they can't conceptualize someone transitioning for other reasons or understand that trans men still often face misogyny. Which literally proves that yes it is revolutionary

Okay EACH and EVERY TIME anyone sees this BULLSHIT out there it needs to be countered. It says ICE is causing "Tension" in communities. Correct but the only reason ICE is out in communities and going door to door is because Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Frey REFUSE to allow Minnesota Law Enforcement to honor ICE Detainers and turn over Criminal Illegals over to ICE. If they did that, there would be no reason for ICE to go into communities.

there is still NO reason for ice to go into communities hope that helps

HEY DUMBASS @falandosozinzin! If Minnesota Law Enforcement would honor ICE's Detainers and hand over Criminal Illegals to them there would be no reason for ICE to go into communities. That being said, your buddy Tampon Timmy Walz and The Mayor of Minneapolis won't allow them to do that. In other words, the current problem is caused completely by Democrats. Stay Stupid. You seem to be good at it.

i stand by what i said ice has no legitimate reason to invade communities

its so fucked that not only did they erase our languages and beat and kill our people for using them but they stole the words of important tribes and important people and used them for the military and for trees and for food and for summer camps. average native american name is seen by non ntvs as a joke or something to use or consume, not a human being

i like that ppl r thinking abt town names and things thats very good to be aware of but just to be clear this is actually specifically about other things actually, the things everyone but those looking up their nation forget about

sequoyah was the man who created the tsalagi syllabary before it was ever a tree

if i try to look for apparel or crafts to show off my chickasaw pride, i get results for chickasaw plums which is just a specific species of plum before i get results about human beings

others have mentioned if they google their nations name they get boot companies before their nations website!

theres a tweet that still haunts me that was about a Quirky Quasi American Restaurant in europe or somewhere that was being funny by being cowboy themed and their steaks were named after native american nations. even outside the usa we are nothing but literal dead meat for others consumption

"blackhawk" "apache" - fuck theres a whole wikipedia page for the way weve had our names used for weapons used to colonize and kill us and others!

yes talk about town and location names but you need to look farther than that. it gets so much worse, i promise

Hey buddy. You canโ€™t be oppressed on the basis of being a man. Itโ€™s like how thereโ€™s a word for misogynoir but not for โ€œmisandryโ€ or โ€œandrophobiaโ€ against black men. Hope this helps

Hot take: there absolutely should be a word for the specific oppression black men face. Theyโ€™re often assumed to be less trustworthy, more dangerous, oversexualized. While this is the same for black women, itโ€™s manifests differently. Black men have higher rates of incarceration, are more likely to be stopped by police and killed by them as well even compared to black women. Afroandrophobia has a nice ring to itโ€ฆ

Thatโ€™s not to say black men are more oppressed than black women.

1.) Itโ€™s just not true.

2.) Its irrelevant on who has it โ€œworstโ€. If a group of people are experiencing something, they should be allowed to give name to that experience. Why are you afraid of this practice?

historical silence of an entire demographic should fill you with horror, fear, and dread, wondering "what happened here?", and not blanket assumptions that nothing happened at all. there is no mass demographic of human beings who simply sit around and do nothing, have no history, have no stories. if an entire demographic has its history missing, there is a reason for that. and that reason is damn near always violent.

I was just thinking about this.

From many I see the attitude of "Trans men/mascs are hyper-invisible which means nobody knows you exist which means they don't do anything or very little to you".

Which creates the false idea that trans men/mascs are intentionally putting themselves into harms way by being vocal.

But vitally it creates the idea that, as stated, we're being basically ignored by transphobia and oppressive systems in general.

That's far from the truth. Anyone born or assigned female in a patriarchal society is going to be subjected to misogyny regardless of gender identity (just like how all women are subjected to misogyny regardless of birth/assigned sex).

Those born/assigned female who seek to deviate, even if they're not trans men/masc, are thoroughly punished.

When that transgression against how 'women' should be is the fact that you're not a woman and intend to live your own truth then society will do anything it can to force you to conform again. Harassment, stigmatisation, physical abuse, sexual abuse, forced pregnancy, conversion therapy are just a few things they do and if none of that gets you to be a woman again? Murder. In fact, many jump straight to the murder. Some even go to torture first then murder us.

Trans women/femmes go through most of that too of course, and a fair number will never be known to have gone through it specifically for being trans.

But the level in which a trans man/mascs true gender will be erased is the result of being hyperinvisible.

You don't know we're here, so you don't notice when we're gone.

You don't know we're here, so you don't notice us in pain and need.

We're swept away, either to complete secrecy or down in the statistics as women.

Then people ask us where all the older trans men/mascs are, where are their contributions? Dead. They're dead.

And those who are trying to speak now are still being heavily silenced by many groups who have chosen to see our plight and very existence as a threat.

Every time I see a video of Pearl Davis I want to clock her in the head with a brick holy shit

Thinking to myself "they can't possibly have written this entire 20 000 word fic exclusively in 4chan greentext format", like a fool.

Give us the fic

> be me > 22 year old baby trans in the Most Serene Republic of Greater Caliphornia, year of our lord 2069 > no talents or skills aside from a mastery of the Hissatsu Ougi > (my parents were transphobic ninjas)

Let the record reflect that you asked for this.

@lidsel replied:

I'm desperately curious about your daily internet navigation routine that takes you these places.

I mostly just look up what's being referenced when people blorbotag my shitposts.

>and I have to keep walking east because thereโ€™s a trail of dead bodies behind me >which is why Iโ€™m now in fuxking DENVER >and Iโ€™m legit out of estrogen >drowning my sorrows in some shithole bar >โ€whatโ€™s got you down stranger?โ€ >look up >buff cowgirl milf is talking to me

I low-key love this? They're certainly making use of the format; the chaotic and comedic flow of events would feel lower quality and wordier in standard prose

I don't know how anyone has found this as the only ao3 tag it has is "original work." There's not even a rating or relationship type. The fic summary for anyone intrested is:

"in 2069 AD, the region once known as the United States of America is a world of complex lore and political intrigue that our heroine doesn't really care about because she's too busy trying to find estrogen in the post-apocalyptic Midwest."

Give that roughly two thirds of the comments and kudos appear to post-date the creation of this thread, at least in this particular case the answer to "where do people find this stuff?" is apparently "right here".

The argument of "trans men have privilege when they pass" is also so asinine because privilege isn't just "other men treating you nicer" it's getting unbiased and unrestricted medical attention, it's lower or no statistics of corrective sexual assault or impregnation, it's not having actual laws passed against your existence, it's not having to worry about passing in the first place, it's having historical figures retain their identity and not erased in some girl power misgendering bs, it's having your identity celebrated instead of treated like a loss of something pure.

If you think male privilege is just being treated like "one of the guys" in day to day life, you need to relearn a lot of things about privilege before you try to have these conversations.

we didn't get to see joyce byers mourn her daughter. we didn't get to see will and jonathan mourn their sister. we didn't get to see max mourn her best friend. no it's all just hopper hopper hopper mike

historical silence of an entire demographic should fill you with horror, fear, and dread, wondering "what happened here?", and not blanket assumptions that nothing happened at all. there is no mass demographic of human beings who simply sit around and do nothing, have no history, have no stories. if an entire demographic has its history missing, there is a reason for that. and that reason is damn near always violent.
