So here’s now I know most of Vaggie’s criticism against her is bullshit:
WHY AREN’T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS??
People will preach and whine about Vaggie not having any development or being boring but when she ACTUALLY gets some huge development, ya’ll are silent. Crickets. NOT A PEEP-
This is what you’ve been waiting for! But noooo let’s all just focus on the two very genocidal blood thirsty assholes! I’m gonna argue that Vaggie has gotten so much more development other than this and her name change. But let’s start with this anyways.
So remember back in episode 3 where Vaggie was put on the spot by Charlie and the trust exercise? She fumbled! Yes it ended well but she struggled with this task. But now? Vaggie is ASKING Charlie to take on the hotel while she gets her mind right. Vaggie is ASKING to be in a position of power! Something a S1 Vaggie wouldn’t have done.
Not to mention what a learning experience this can be for her. Aren’t you curious to see how this will affect her mental and physical state? Are you NOT wondering how she’s gonna run things in contrast to Charlie?
And the there’s her calmness. Vaggie was quick to anger in S1 and for good reason because she was getting pushed around and mocked for a good chunk if S1. But now? She’s at least keeping it calm on the outside. She still gets pissed but not even Alastor’s mocking can distract her enough to get her off task.
And the more obvious one: Her wings. Vaggie is MUCH more comfortable with showing her angel wings because she trusts the hotel’s main residents more. It’s why she talks about changing her name to with everyone else. This isn’t what a S1 Vaggie would do either. Of course i mentioned her singing in a separate slightly older post but you have that as well. She’s much more open about singing in public.
In little ways, Vaggie has definitely changed and it’s PISSING me off how little people actually care. You don’t care about Vaggie or her potential if you can’t point out even the simplest of developments that her character has gotten. I’ve seen so many people complain about her EVEN NOW and I’m like: BITCH- OPEN YOUR EYES TO WHAT IS IN FRONT OF YOU-
Vaggie has always been a good character. She’s always has been compelling- But you have to actually think about her for once and that’s apparently too much for you guys.
