Rumi as lilith, was supposed to have the halo and be the golden girl and wants to dislike this new halo bearer but she's so genuine and optimistic and hopeful that she just cant. Grew up with the legacy of needing to be the best and excell and live up to her mother's name and fame as a previous warrior nun, not doing this was never an option for her. Also, while lashing out rumi got grabbed by the Tarask and now she's become something new she doesnt understand and doesnt like. She's supposed to kill demons, not become one of them.

Mira as beatrice. Got raised by super strict parents and became hypercompetent in an effort to fit in, but when it became clear she never would, started acting out. Last straw is when they find out she likes girls. She gets shoved into a convent by the end of the week. Originally would have run off, but got scouted by Mother superion, aka celine, last hunter of her generation and secretly former halo bearer. Mira doesnt love the religious side of things, and will never try for halo bearer herself, but she does like the protecting people aspect. The kicking demon butt aspect. The cohesive team that actually works together and likes each other aspect. So she stays and becomes one of the best the OCS has, constantly butting heads with Rumi for mutual enrichment.

Zoey as ava. She was in an accident as a kid that left her disabled, which added nastyness to her parents divorce as they blamed each other for her being 'damaged'. Spent a lot of time in hospitals and got 'cared for' by a lot of nun volunteers, got some religious trauma from that. Had very little agency at home and kept getting shipped between their houses. Sometimes it seemed like they were fighting so she wouldnt be with the other one, sometimes it felt like they were fighing so she'd be sent to the other one already. She couldnt wait to become legally an adult so she could finally have some agency and independence and live the life she wants to have, but right before that happens there's a car accident and both she and the parent she was with die. So she's in the morgue when the OCS runs in. After waking up with the halo she escapes and looks up her remaining parent, and finds out they seem happier without either her or the dead parent in their life. She does not belong there. She is not wanted there. Now, what's this about demons? (She likes the rules and restrictions and inescapable duty about as much as canon ava did).

All three end up on the run and get to really know each other and bond.

Bobby is Camila, eternal cheerleader and helping with tech things and backup.
