Regency romance: Derek ignoring all social etiquette and protocol as he pulls the top of stiles glove down so he can feel stiles skin against his lips as he lays a kiss to his hand.
thinking of the pool scene again
not even in like a romantic way but like. Derek hasn't had anyone to lean on for so long, his entire plot line in this season is that hes lonely, he doesnt trust others, especially not stiles, he literally pitches not being murdered to Stiles as a "you need me" sort of deal, rather than like. murder being bad.
BUT hes put in this situation where he has no choice to trust Stiles. its not even a trust him or die thing, he can't move he LITERALLY has no other choice.
And Stiles, who's in his "i can't help anyone with anything" arc manages to prove him dead wrong. He manages to keep Derek afloat for hours, only letting go ONCE to call for help, accidentally destroying his phone (their only way to get help) in his haste to save him, and then using the LAST OF HIS ENERGY to push derek above the water even as stiles is actively sinking
AND THEN THE ABOMINATION SCENE RIGHT AFTER???? SHOWING DEREK THAT HE DOESNT SEE WEREWOLVES AS MONSTERS DESPITE WITNESSING ONLY SHITTY ONES????*
like. you dont have to believe they like each other at this point, but I keep seeing people saying they hate each other and thats just... not true
* Derek creeping around and physically threatening him and Scott, Scott's new instincts causing him to almost attack Stiles muiltiple times, Peter, Erica knocking him out and putting him in a dumpster (an injury that could have killed him), all three of the Wonder Betas beating the shit out of Scott. like I dont think werewolves are evil either, but stiles would have a decent case if he did.
I agree with those who say that Seth Meyers was the right host for Connor's first late night talkshow. (from sethmeyers twitter)
