i suddenly wanted to play sims medieval, but i don't know where my old saves can be, if they even survived, and i don't think i have that fire anymore to make such pretty sims as i had before.
here, i have 14 years old pictures. i have more of them somewhere but can't seem to find them
yesterday i've decided to feel nostalgic and play medieval
and it was a blast
the game is so witty and bold in its texts. also it had literal built-in bachelor challenge (where your monarch picked as many contestants for marriage as they wanted, talked to them, dueled with them etc)
my only regret is that i couldn't find my old medieval saves and get my beautiful saved sims back

first it labeled my Serena as mature content (a single portrait screenshot with a few words of lore!), and would you look at this beautiful post now? apparently hugging is also nsfw?
anyway this office was made solely to take a few of his pictures, and what for? i suck at angles and don’t remember where the best poses are when i need them

today i'm sorting tattoos
removing the ones i don't need, updating the ones i do so they can be actually removed by clicking on x, moving some of them to other categories

the easiest way is to not go one by one and just update them all at once! put them all in one folder (if you don't keep them in one folder and they're all over the place, you can find them with Tray Importer), then open Sims 4 Studio and simply run this batch fix on that folder:
Content Management -> Batch Fixes -> CAS -> Update Tattoos For Business & Hobbies
it'll ask you for two folders: the first one is the folder with tattoos you're fixing, the second one is where it'll put the old unfixed files just in case. doesn't matter where these folders are, wherever you have enough space
you can simply delete backup folder after you check your tattoos in cas and make sure everything's fine
that's it, very simple

@highclasssandbox okay, if batch fix didn’t work for some reason, here’s a manual fix. good thing is that it works perfectly - i just checked to be sure. bad thing is that you’ll need to do that for every swatch of every tattoo you want to fix. which is many, many boring clicks. well, maybe you can at least fix your most used ones
open the package file with your tattoo in studio, switch to warehouse, sort by type for your convenience, you need the ones that say “cas part”
click on a cas part, scroll the right side down until you see that section
check the “layerable” box, it must have the ✅ on it
click on the next cas part, check the same box, etc etc, do it for each cas part, click save in the right bottom corner
depending on the number of swatches, it might have been terribly boring, but your file is now fixed
