Melanie Martinez wishes she was Grimes. Grimes wishes she was Bjork. Bjork wishes she was 2 inches tall so she could go inside the computer and have a big adventure
Hey all!! My shop is back up and running for the new year! Lots of new stickers, prints, mini prints, and copies of the Dark Fairies project, a 200 page book of art, writing, and comics! :)
There is a moment in the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, that has always stayed with me.
In the Islamic tradition, Mary reaches a point of complete exhaustion and fear.
Alone. In labor. With no one to explain herself to.
She says something heartbreaking:
“I wish I had died before this, and been forgotten.”
Not because she was weak,
but because she was human, standing at the edge of absolute helplessness.
Christmas is not just a celebration of joy.
It remembers a birth that began in fear, not certainty.
A mother alone.
A child threatened.
An uncertain future.
This is the moment before the miracle.
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
— Luke 1:37
This Christmas, my children and I face a struggle unlike any other. We still live in a tent in Gaza, exposed to the cold and rain. Every night, my sick children cough and shiver, freezing in the harsh weather.
We tried to move to a new home, but it’s unfinished, unsealed, and barely offers shelter. I am unable to complete it due to lack of resources and ongoing challenges. I feel powerless, much like Mary, standing at the edge of helplessness, hoping for a miracle.
If you love Christ, or if you love those born on the same land where He was born, please help us find warmth and safety this winter. My children’s little bodies freeze every night as the cold and rain soak their fragile limbs. If you can, please open your heart and help us through our GoFundMe campaign - Verified #644. Your kindness means everything to us.
Helplessness is deadly…
I watch our children cough from the cold, their limbs freezing, rain seeping into our tent, and I stand powerless—torn between getting them into a house under construction that I haven’t finished, or staying in the tent.
If you can't do anything good today, you can still help a family in Gaza during your holidays. They need you and would be happy if you did something for them and showed them you care. Donate here
Please help out my friend Mahrah and her family in Gaza <3
Her fundraising efforts have been vetted by @90-ghost and shared by fairuzfan. My wife, @cannilyuncanny hosts her family's GoFundMe campaign and sends transfers of donations directly to Mahrah in Gaza.
