Y’all are not slick! I have been alive physically LONG enough to recall that Vaapad came down the fucking line & it was never mention in movies. His whole fighting style is not a one trick pony that only works on the evilest of bad guys (see Jango Fett).

No matter how hard you wanna cope, Mace beat Sidious because bro tears up ass in general. It’s not no special, circumstantial amplification that would otherwise give it to Sidious. That man was terrified of Mace when it came down to it.

And let it be remembered it wasn’t fucking Yoda, Obi-Wan, or literal dead ass Qui-Gon Sidious spent his time worried about. It was MACE. There’s a reason why he gave his ass the hardest of times out of all the Jedi Council members in his FAKE ass public persona & he was the literal #1 General (not Anakin. He took orders from him literally. Even Anakin wants to impress him.)

Yet this fandom has plenty of people that will STILL find a way to write off his wins into some weird shit. Bro kills the most deadliest & dangerous bounty but boohoo he orphaned a kid? On Writing Ekkreth Stories

So you want to write an Ekkreth story, but it's not working. You can't figure out how to start, it doesn't sound right, it just doesn't feel like Fialleril's do.

I am obviously not the expert on this, but I've have seen one or two people comment on Biting His Own Tale that they struggle to write Ekkreth stories and/or think mine are neat, so I thought I'd take a stab at writing a guide/conglomeration of tips I've figured out.

(This is also intended as an exercise for me to articulate why I make the decisions I do as a writer, because I think that's a good thing to do once in a while, so spoilers for my fic, Biting His Own Tale)

Get out a book (or other format) of stories from your childhood, and imagine how they could be moulded into Amavikka stories:

Star Wars should have aether, the once conjectured “medium light travels through” (not real, light doesn’t need that shit). Hypothetically this means if you made a real vacuum in Star Wars light couldn’t travel thru it (same way if all the water in the ocean disappeared, so to would the waves cease to exist).

Also, this aether stuff has movement and, (as real physics attempted to test before the aether theory was ruled out by measuring the speed of light from the sun to the earth from different directions in Earths orbit) therefore the speed of light changes depending on which direction it’s traveling through the aether! Now, since ppl in sw have little trouble having video calls (actually you know what holocalls would be even worse that’s even more data) over ridiculous distances, either the speed of the equivalent of electromagnetic waves is much faster overall in sw, or the whole hyperspace thing is used to send signals as well as physical ships.

The second one is way more interesting and likely for a few reasons. It means that part of the infrastructure of the galaxy involves essentially satellites sitting permanently in hyperspace, which can be used for these extremely high speed signals. From this we also need to assume that whatever medium hyperspace is made of, electromagnetic signals travel through it even faster than they do through aether, and/or that much less physical distance is traversed in hyperspace. The latter honestly makes more sense given the name, “hyperspace” mirrors “hyper cube” the name for a four dimensional cube. But hyperspace retains the quality that electromagnetic waves travel much faster than matter through it than mass does.

I also think the aether and hyperspace should be somehow tied, like maybe you can predict the speed of hyperspace travel by measuring the aether. Like a weather prediction basically. Maybe the aether is like the shadow of 4d hyperspace in 3d space (like how the shadow of a 3d object is 2dimentional). Hmm maybe there would be (highly unusual) freak visual events when signals traveling through hyperspace happen to intersect the normal world…

Also. Before anyone brings it up. No, aether is not the Force ok. No relation except that the Force is in all things. That would be like saying the Force is air just because there happens to be wind. All the light discussed in this post is entirely literal. And literal light is also not the Force

We’re gonna keep like, general relativity, except that time isn’t gonna curve with space. No such thing as space-time. Time is constant everywhere so we don’t have to deal with special relativity at all, but space is still gonna get bent by mass because gravity clearly does exist. Haven’t figured out how artificial gravity on ships works but maybe there’s a planet-size ball of mass stored in hyperspace somewhere and all ships just have like a hyperspace portal in the basement leading to it. Gravity strength could even be adjustable based on how far you open the portal away from the hyperspace-planet.

That’s literally a stupid idea but I’m kind of into it.

Ok so molecules are sort of going to exist. There’s going to be molecule adjacent things called quanta. They’re just like molecules and/or atoms except for all the ways they’re different to account for the rest of Star Wars physics. For an analogy think about how translating a word across languages doesn’t really ever give a 1 to 1 relationship, even in examples that are as simple as possible.
