holy shit this is such a good game

my group have it for a backup incase the dm cant make it and we need to play something at dnd or if we just want a laugh bc this system is so much fun

if anyone is thinking about getting it i cannot reccomend it enough

the rules are so simple you can pick it up and play without reading the rules in advance and you dont need any prep + its always super chaotic and fun !!!!

this game is so so good and i would buy a sequel or expansion or anything !!!

this is a really fun concept !!!

i did find the controls slightly frustrating (couldnt deselect things and sometimes it wasnt clear what i had selected till i clicked the other part) and i did go into negative money a couple times

also i found the decimal deduction a little harsh, since it essentially punishes using divide even tho its a standard operation like +-* (and also if i had, ex: 1.30, i lost 2 for decimals, even tho its equal to 1.3)

overall v fun and i would definitely consider playing a post jam version of this !!!!

this is a really cool concept and fun little game!!

couple bug notes (incase u wanna continue post jam or smthn):

  • player gets a bit glitchy when caught in blocks or when sandwiched between two (#o# where # is block and o is player)
  • the blocks render really weird on firefox (everything is the wrong asset in game you litterally cannot play it in ff :( but it works in chromium so)
  • the selector has a habit of getting stuck on blocks which can be quite frustrating
in terms of gameplay feedback (this is just my opinion blah blah blah):
  • maybe add a pulsing/some other indicator to the blocks which are about to return to where theyre going to (and a tween between new and old positions) to make things clearer to the player
  • add an option to reset the level so u dont need to wait for blocks to go back to the start
  • add some sort of checkpoint flag or something so its clear where the player respawns from (and some indication its active to make it clear that it deactivates when it dies

this is still really cool and i had a lot of fun w it !!

very fun!! intresting concept!! i enjoyed!!!

sdfjhkasdf this is reallyy funnnnnn

i love it smmm

it would be nice if enemies could spawn faster and also maybe tweak the coffin health/player damage!

This is such a cool concept and the art style is so pretty!!!

(all the following comments are aimed to be constructive and also are most likely out of scope for the game jam timeframe)

I feel like a tutorial/some form of in game explination would have been nice, and the player being faster/showing more information about whats going on would be nice as there wasnt as much quick feedback.

I loved this game however, and I hope you score well in the jam!!

This was really fun, however I encountered a bug where, after beating 41 enemies and dying, then restarting and killing 9, it said YOU WON! Overall, the game was really fun though, and could be a great arcade/party game!

It was quite fun, however the theme seemed tacked on at the end, as an extra, optional feature, as I was able to complete it without using the dice. The game was fun, and the art was great though!

It was SUPER fun, but I found it quite challenging and (at first) confusing. D: If you continue working on it, I would love to see how it develops!

This game was EPIC! It was really polished, satisfying, and well implemented. It was a simple game, meaning I could just hop in and play with no tutorial! I could easily see myself playing for AGES! However, it was quite empty at parts, maybe have a wave system? Also, an upgrade system would be fun! Additionally, using [space] to shoot would give the player more control, rather than just walking away. Overall, though, one of the best games I've played so far!

The game was quite fun, and an amazing concept, however there was very little polish, and some events were laggy. It was also fairly confusing at first. HOWEVER, with some polish, and new mechanics and a tutorial, I could see this becoming an EXCELLENT rougelike game like Slay the Spire!

(1 edit)

I really enjoyed your game! It would have been nice if it had a pause screen, and occasionally I had to replay a level I had completed because I died on the level up screen. I also had to spend a bit of time trying to understand how to play/win because there was no tutorial. But, overall, the game was really fun! To be honest, you could probably continue working on it post-jam, and make it even better, maybe even profitable!
