a stemmie talks about how sopan being 'energy-conservative' does not make sense at all

this post is open for thoughts and arguments (please). i love energy duo so much and that's why i'd like to yap about them. Be prepared for a LONG post.

i get that this is a cartoon for children and making-shit-up is often the foundation of scifi stories. but. qually my dear. you're sweet and all but this is not it

(idk why did they decide to make qually the bus driver all of a sudden but i'll let that slide)

yes the basics are right. wind power and solar power are renewable energy sources.

i just dont know why would it matter here because boboiboy himself is a renewable energy source.

power plants, solar-powered or wind-powered or others, create electrical energy. boboiboy literally has electricity as one of his elements. i fail to see the correlation here why taufan and solar, specifically, are chosen here. i don't think it matters that they're 'renewable'. water is also renewable. plants are also renewable as an organic source of energy. i can also argue how soil is renewable as well.

also am i the only one who considers it weird that solar out of everyone is stated to be energy efficient? did they just forget that solar's beam requires a MASSIVE chunk of boboiboy's energy.

i doubt that summoning solar would cost boboiboy minimum energy. he does the complete opposite, methinks. i do not accept this.

the thing is, power plants utilize solar and wind power. you know what boboiboy does? he CONJURES the elements. he CREATES wind and light. every 'creation' requires energy. every, heh, fusion, requires energy.

you're not summoning an element that is renewable and cheap. you're quite literally asking him to summon the energy of the sun by turning into solar.

for taufan, i understand if he requires minimum energy to use. wind is defined as a movement from air particles, and something so light does only require minimum energy to summon. even air resistance is often ignored in basic physics because of how light it is.

but, solar? THE sun? the thing that gives us power???? boboiboy's got minimum energy and you want him to summon THAT ELEMENT??????

girl.

it's okay if you want to make fusions out of silly puns. it's okay if you want your character to act like their namesake. you don't have to make it scientific if you can't make it make sense.

what is energy anyway?? and what does it have to do with 'elements'? and this is where i rant about physics. this is very long so only read it if you want to.

I just found it funny of how contrast English dub and Malay scene of Blaze rosting Ice face (basicly calling himself)

In Malay go like "Face like you can be found anywhere at the night market. People are pirating your face to the pajamas."

This is funny because how true this was. Like you cannot just go to any night market at Malaysia and didnt see any of cheap pirating pajamas for kid with all the famous cartoon character what was trace and miss colour 😭. Blaze saying that how face like ice is iconic enough for people to make it cheap ass pajamas. I can tell that Nizam, the writer take that personaly in funny way

While English dub saying "Your face is so plain I already forget about it. You cant even get a job as movie extra"

Funny how Malay dub make fun of Boboiboy own popularity while English dub deniel it saying people didnt remember Boboiboy face because it's not "iconic"

The Sentience of the Elementals

As much as MONSTA claims the Elementals aren't alive, it's a popular fandom-wide HC-mainly because if it's not canon, then canon falls apart.

'Retak'ka was corrupted by his power and greed' 'The Voltra power corrupted Kira'na and began to drive her insane' These are canon happenings that directly resulted because of the Elementals' interference.

And sure, it can be argued that they would have been corrupted without the power anyway. But canon points to otherwise-especially when you take into account who holds the Elementals most of the time. Out-of-character things for Boboiboy are in-character for the Elementals, and that points to them being separate people rather than the same person, different clothes.

Yet, at the same time, if the Elementals can truly possess their wielders, then there are some disturbing implications about Retak'ka and Kira'na 'insanity'. Because that hints the powers that Boboiboy uses for good have actually manipulated others into evil.

Hence my current theory on the Elementals' true sentience.

The Elementals are alive, but not completely sentient.

So explanation time-remember Beliung's manic episodes? My current theory is that the Elementals are alive, but alive in the way an animal might be-definitely living, definitely alive, just not really able to think intelligently. Because each time someone has 'lost control', it's been associated with emotions. Kira'na's rage at Retak'ka. Retak'ka's greed. Beliung's manic happiness. Blaze and Ais ran on emotion during their fight on Baraju.

But. This actually changes depending on their host.

Think of it this way-without Boboiboy, the Elementals are just pure, raw elements and emotion. When he is their wielder, they take the form he does-gaining sentience, intelligence, separate personalities and their emotions being better reigned in. However, this is also because Boboiboy recognizes they are alive, and is thus able to subsequently grant them that autonomy and intelligence. Without that recognition, they are just bundles of raw emotion.

Hence why Retak'ka and Kira'na were overtaken.

Gamma didn't mean to overtake Retak'ka. Voltra didn't want Kira'na to attack so many people. But without the recognition of their holders, they are just emotions lashing out without a proper sentience or intelligence to direct them.

So I fixed the theory. This is my personal one yay.
