getting thunderbolts* and superman in the same year is wild. it’s been a long time since a superhero film has resonated with me in the way “real” cinema does, but these two knocked it out of the park.
thunderbolts* showing that mental illness doesn’t rob you of your humanity, that it’s okay to need help and to ask for it, that even the most broken of people can be heroes.
superman showing that kindness is a superpower, that it’s not childish or naive for your motivations to be centred around doing what’s right, that it’s punk rock to see the beauty in everyone and everything.
i felt like a kid again watching these films. i left the theatre filled with hope, chatting my friends’ ears off, and eager for the next film in the franchise. i know people don’t consider comic book films to be “real cinema” but these two proved that they absolutely can be.
truly the biggest strength and superpower we all have is our humanity. to be a human is a remarkable thing. and it’s important to be reminded of that, especially in times like these.
Lex and Clark in #Superman be like
FUCK AMERICA HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY CEASAR SALAD 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽❗❗❗
poor things, well we should definitely make this easier on them by never repeatedly mentioning their name and deeds on the "reblog things forever" website
yea that'd be a shame
by the way, just so everyone knows what not to do, shift+r reblogs a post instantly
just make sure you don't reblog anything about oceangate because that would completely undermine their entire plan 😇😇😇
You also shouldn't queue a post, that would make people keep remembering this post for a longer time, which is the opposite of forgetting
June 18, 2023 never forgor
yeah yeah never reblog

happy pride month to:
- what Hangman and Rooster have going on in Top Gun: Maverick (playing love songs for each other, getting alarmingly close to each other)
- what Iceman and Maverick have going on in Top Gun (literally eyefucking each other in every moment they have eye contact)
(not my photos)
but yeah happy Pride Month!
