Contacting hosts

Getting in touch with a host on Airbnb is easy—just send them a quick message to let them know you’re interested in their home, service, or experience.

For your safety and privacy, guests and hosts only receive each other's phone numbers after a reservation is confirmed. Learn more about why it’s good to keep communication and transactions on Airbnb.

Before you book

If you have questions about a listing, click or tap Contact host to send them a message. Pro tip: If you’re asking about specific reservation details, enter your travel dates and number of guests first—this is required before you can send a message.

After your reservation is confirmed

For homes and services

Once your home or service booking is accepted, you can Message your host (and co-host, if applicable), and all guests in a group message. Alternatively, you can reach your host by going to Trips, finding the reservation, and contacting them on the same group message from there.

If you’ve reserved a home or service and you have co-travelers, you can invite them to join the reservation.

For experiences

Once your experience booking is accepted, you can Message your host, co-host, and all other guests on the experience—including others outside your booking group—in a group message.

If you want to message the host and co-hosts privately, you can do that from your group message thread by selecting Details, and then Message hosts. This message will be private between you, the host, and any co-hosts.

If you’ve reserved an experience, you can invite your friends to join you.

After your reservation is completed

You can send follow-up messages to your group or a private message to the host after a trip, service, or experience has ended.

If you have any payment issues that you need to resolve, you can do so in the Resolution Center.
