The Digital Services Act ("DSA") aims to improve the transparency and safety of consumers’ online experiences. It applies to platforms such as Airbnb, and requires that we collect, verify and display certain information about business hosts.
The DSA is an EU regulation which imposes obligations on online intermediaries and platforms operating in the EU. It has implemented a system of accountability and transparency which applies to your activity as an Airbnb host.
In particular, the DSA requires us to collect and verify information about hosts who operate as a business. If you fail to provide the right information, your listings will not be visible on Airbnb. Business details that have been successfully verified by Airbnb will appear on Airbnb listings in the EU. Get more information on determining your status as a business or individual host and Airbnb’s collection and verification processes.
We have notified EU hosts that have previously declared themselves as businesses to re-confirm the following business details in their account for accuracy:
These details will be added to a new business details section of the host listings on Feb 17, 2025. Find out more about editing business details.
To comply with the DSA’s transparency reporting obligations, Airbnb has prepared and published this transparency report.
