Shared Number Group Channel Operator Options Missing in Microsoft Teams 260043.403
After updating to Microsoft Teams version 260043.403, options in Group Channels related to shared number / calling queue operator availability appear to have changed. Previously, when selecting a channel associated with a calling queue, operators could: View a list of all queue operators See each operator’s availability for that specific calling queue (not general Teams presence) Change their own availability for that queue With this update, the ability for operators to change their availability now appears to be located under Settings → Calls. However, the channel-level view that displayed the availability of other operators seems to have been removed entirely. Can someone confirm whether the operator availability view within Group Channels has been deprecated, or if it is now accessible elsewhere in Teams?12Views0likes0CommentsError creating Online Teams Meeting: Something went wrong. Edit event to try again.
Hey Gang, I have one solitary user that started getting this error a couple of weeks ago. "Something went wrong. Edit event to try again." If an offline meeting is made, it works fine. But it cannot create online meetings (With the Teams link for people to join) This is the case with all versions of Outlook and Teams. I.E. Desktop, web browser, phone apps. We have made no changes to the user's account and as far as we can tell, they are the only person to have this issue. They are a manager and need to be able to schedule meetings with links. I did attempt to assign a calling plan to the account, but it did not fix the problem. (User has a 365 BP license already) The only things I have been able to find here on the forums are from a while back, with claims that Microsoft had created a fix and rolled it out. It is odd that only a solitary user is having this issue. Tomorrow we will attempt to sign him out of all 365 apps across all devices and reset MFA, but I do not feel this will work. We are Azure joined (for users, not devices yet). Edit: A complete log out did not suffice to fix this problem. It is still prevalent across all platforms. Any insight, things to check or suggestions would be great! Appreciated! Mike13KViews0likes7CommentsHow to post Teams Channel post to Sharepoint as news
Hello, Let's call my Sharepoint Team Sites A and B. We have a Teams Channel called ITAG that's using a connector to Site A. I want the messages from ITAG Channel to post as a news post in Sharepoint Site B. I tried to use power automate to do this but I keep it keeps on doing a timeout with "Bad Gateway". Is this posisible? Attached is my flow. Should be pretty simple but I keep getting an error.822Views0likes1CommentAllow muting a person only for me
Sometimes I am in a meeting where one of the persons in the meeting is actually near me in the world outside the screen. In this case the sound is a bit maddening since there is a small delay between the sound from the person and the sound through the teams interface. In these cases, I would like to mute the person only for me since I am sitting near and can hear the person fine without headphones. Right now I need to takeoff headphones when the person is talking and putting it back as the person finishes talking.128KViews189likes150CommentsTeams Calls using Transfer with consult
Hi all, I have a Yealink MP56E2 desk phone with the extension EXP50. When adding "Consult Transfer" to a line key on the extension then the text "Consult with" plus the contact name is added to display on the extension. Consult with is displayed on the first of two lines, taking away a lot of space. Even worth if you change the language to German. Then only 3-4 characters remain to display the contact name. See pictures below. Has anyone managed to change the leading text? In my opinion, no text is needed as the Icon already indicates the "Consult Transfer" function.39Views0likes0CommentsCan upload file from Teams chat files to Posts but not to Shared
I was working on an Excel file shared in a chat with members of a small workgroup. When it was ready to share with the larger team, I navigated to the appropriate Team > Channel, created a Post, clicked on + > Attach file > selected the file (which had been modified recently, so displayed on the pop-up). The team lead asked me to save it in a particular folder in the team's files, so I navigated to Shared (formerly Files)... and did not see it. I could briefly see it if I selected the "In messages" filter, but then after a moment that bugged out and displayed the "Something went wrong" error screen. This behavior persisted (briefly visible file list, then error screen) even after quitting Teams via the task bar and opening it back up. I did not want to create a separate version (especially now that the original file was linked in the Post), so I tried a few different methods to get it into Shared. I tried copying a link, but couldn't figure out a good way to paste it into Shared. I tried pasting it in a new Link, but that preserved it as a link/URL rather than a file -- serviceable but awkward. I checked whether there was an easier way to do it by opening in the web version, where Files is still active rather than Shared (same behavior, except no "In messages" filter so I couldn't test that). I poked around in SharePoint but didn't see anything interesting. I tried uploading a copy from within Shared by pasting the filepath from the "Save a Copy" dialog in Excel... ...and that's when I noticed a possible cause of the issue: another member of the original workgroup chat had created the file, and it was living in her Teams chat files, not mine. I then had her try doing it by navigating to her Teams chat files and selecting her copy, and then hallelujah, it appeared in Shared. I was able to drag it to the appropriate folder normally. Ultimately, I see two questions: Why does the file appear when the "In messages" filter is selected, but not otherwise? Why can I add a file saved in someone else's Teams chat files to a Post, but I can't upload it in Shared? Bonus: any idea why the "In messages" filter caused an error message to display?40Views0likes0CommentsStarLeaf + Teams integration
Hi all, I have a user that wants to integrate StarLeaf into one of his Microsoft Teams group. He is not the owner of the group. The issue he reported: "Currently, Starleaf for Teams is installed, but when there is any attempt to setup using the integration token generated from our systems admin in Starleaf, an error occurs." The link for instructions he used: https://support.starleaf.com/integrating/starleaf-for-microsoft-teams/#3-Install+StarLeaf+for One of the errors he gets: "Something went wrong. Reinstall StarLeaf for Teams." Any idea of what to do? Kind regards, Dino1.9KViews2likes8CommentsScheduling Channel Meetings with the Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK
Channel meetings are a type of meeting specifically intended for channel members to attend. Creating normal meetings is easy, but can you create channel meetings with the Graph API? As it turns out, you currently cannot. The suggested workaround is to create a normal (private) meeting and then post the details of that meeting in the channel for channel members to see. That doesn't make the meeting show up in the channel calendar, but at least you can meet. https://practical365.com/channel-meeting-powershell/20Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Teams – “You need a paid subscription to use Microsoft Teams”
Hi everyone, I’m currently unable to sign in to Microsoft Teams using my work account. When I launch the Teams desktop app, I receive the following message: "You need a paid subscription to use Microsoft Teams. To continue using Teams, you’ll need a license. You’re currently signed in as [my account]. Please click Request License to ask your admin for access or sign in with a different account." However, according to our admin, a Microsoft Teams Premium license (or equivalent Microsoft 365 license) has already been assigned to my account. I can also see Teams listed under My Apps in the Microsoft 365 portal. I have tried the following steps: Signed out and signed back in Tried Teams web app (teams.microsoft.com) in an InPrivate or Incognito browser Cleared Teams cache from %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams Reinstalled the Teams desktop client Unfortunately, the same message still appears. Could someone please advise: Is this a known sync or license propagation issue? Should the admin reassign the license or refresh it from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center? Are there any other steps to force Teams license validation? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I can see another organization in my teams desktop app below my main organization (someone invited me probably), if i click on it give the option to accept and allow access to that organization for some personal info, if you click on cancel it tells you that you don't need to do anything more but the organization name still appear on my desktop app. There are multiple discussions about how to remove an organization that you already joined or logged in to but none about removing the invite without accepting it. It is annoying to still have it there on my desktop team appSolved16KViews1like10CommentsApps notification settings missing in Teams settings
Hello Teams Community, I'm facing a strange issue with App notifications in Microsoft Teams. I've already researched this and found nothing. I've opened a Microsoft case and I'm waiting for an answer but it's taking longer than expected. So, I'm turning to you for expedited help! Scenario: You're an administrator in Teams. You've applied a setup policy for a pinned app like Viva Engage. After the policy is applied and the tool is launched, users complain that notifications are either too frequent or not frequent enough. You direct them to the Teams Notification and activity settings to control app notifications. The users go to Teams notification settings but report back to you that the App section of Teams settings doesn't exist. Problem Statement: Microsoft explicitly states in their documentation that in order for the App notifications section to appear, you must first add an app yourself within Teams and get at least one notification. But relying on users to add an app, somehow create a notification, and then remove it, just to access App notifications is impractical and would never work. Desired Outcome: I'm looking for a way to bypass this prerequisite and force the Apps section to appear in the Notifications and activity section without any user action whenever an app is pinned in the Teams admin center with a setup policy. I'm hoping this can work with any app, not just Viva Engage. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Teams experts! -Rob2KViews3likes4CommentsTeams Webinars: Org name vs brand name – how are people handling this?
Has anyone else hit this with Teams webinars? Microsoft recently changed how webinar emails are sent, and the sender name now seems to come from the tenant Organisation Name. You can change that in M365 admin, but that’s where the problem starts. In a lot of companies, the organisation name is a legal/billing entity, not the public-facing brand. Example: Legal / tenant name: FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. Brand: FedEx Teams webinar emails now go out showing the legal entity, which isn’t great for external, customer-facing events. Changing the org name just to fix webinar emails can have knock-on effects for billing, contracts, and governance. As far as I can see: No way to set a brand-specific sender name No per-webinar or per-mailbox sender identity Org name is global and used across multiple services The only real workaround seems to be not using Teams-generated emails at all, and sending custom emails via Power Automate / Graph / a marketing platform, while still using Teams for the actual event. Curious how others are dealing with this: Are you just living with it? Changing the org name with legal sign-off? Or bypassing Teams emails completely? Feels like a gap for larger, multi-brand orgs.16Views0likes0CommentsHow to create an audio calling bot for the Marketplace?
What is the correct set of framework(s)/tools that allow a bot to make audio calls to teams users that can be installed to multiple customer's Teams instances, and added to the Teams Marketplace, as of January 2026? It seems that there is a lot of transition going on in the various bot frameworks that are supported by Microsoft. The new Microsoft 365 Agents https://github.com/microsoft/Agents/issues/377 , and won't do until at least March 2026. The Teams Microsoft Graph Comms libraries still work and appear to be current, however that is only half the puzzle. I need to also package up the bot that has been built, including build an app manifest, etc. The AzureBot still works, but upon packaging up, it seems that Multi-tenant support was https://github.com/microsoft/botframework-sdk/issues/6698. The permissions for the various Microsoft graph https://github.com/microsoftgraph/microsoft-graph-comms-samples do not match up with the permissions for the packaging of the new agent (e.g. Calls.AccessMedia.All, Calls.Initiate.All are required, but not present). It also isn't clear to me Microsoft Graph App Manifest can help in this matter. Any clarity on the matter would be much appreciated. This is kinda urgent, so can't wait until Agent SDK28Views0likes1CommentStatus during a Teams call : "in a call" only once others have joined!
Hi, I work remotely so most of my job is through Teams calls with laypeople (i.e. not necessarily Teams savvy). I like to start the calls a few minutes before to prepare my shared whiteboard, etc., make sure sound is OK... However, the status, even when I'm alone, is automatically "in a call" and so I don't have notifications anymore, which is generally OK, except that if my client tries to call me on the phone (which is on Teams), they go directly to voicemail. It is annoying to manually switch it. I think that when we are ALONE in the call, waiting for others to join, we should appear as AVAILABLE so that all notifications, etc. are still enabled until we are not alone in the meeting... and then, yes, all the do not disturb aspects must kick in! Hello everyone. Got a couple of Lenovo MTR NUCs that we needed to reimage. Cause they are out of warranty, Lenovo only provides the image that it was shipped with for reimage (I can't use Cloud Deploy). The problem is, when trying to run the Windows 11 update, I get the error code "0x0000400". This is because these come with the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise edition, which is known to have this problem. The issue is that I can't use the ISO file or load the Windows 11 image, as this will get rid of the MTR system. Does anyone know a way around this/is there an image available? Thanks!15Views0likes0CommentsTeams Town Hall - preventing meeting responses when publishing the event
When publishing Town Hall events, is there some magical switch that needs to be thrown to prevent all of the meeting replies from being sent back to the publisher? Not finding much on this anywhere. I had a person publish an event to 1500 people (via distribution list) to ensure the event was on calendars, and received hundreds of responses. It seems like that would/should default to no responses, but those features are unavailable in the Teams calendar (only in Outlook). Suggestions?958Views2likes3CommentsRandomly getting opt-out / opt-in in a CallQueue
Dear All, Once again one of my customers is experiencing something no other words can describe but: magical. Set-up: CallQueue "CQ1" Call answering: "Team1" (with 8 people in it) Conference mode: on Routing: attendant and not precence-based Users can opt out of taking calls 2 out of the 8 persons in Team1 is experiencing that they are randomly getting opt-out or opt-in during the day. Already deleted the cache, re-installed teams (newest versions) but this unwanted magical thingy is still occurring multiple times a day. Anyone else having or had this symptoms? Can't figure out what to do next. Thanks for you thoughts and time! Benjamin619Views4likes9CommentsMicrosoft Teams PowerShell Module 7.6.0 is broken

Though there are options to 'pop out' windows from Teams, Teams is a generally a single page app. As such, one of my most used features in 'Classic Teams' is switching back 'n forth between several 'tabs' I'm currently working with. Say I've got somebody on chat, but then have to quickly check something in Teams, then go back to chat. In Classic Teams this works just fine using the mouse's back & forward buttons. In 'New' Teams, this no longer registers any action at all. I assume the feature still exists, since left of the search bar there are still the back/forward UI buttons. But moving the mouse over for every time you need to switch back and forth is a lot slower and less intuitive than just using the mouse buttons. Current behavior: Mouse 'back'/'forward' buttons do not work in 'New Teams' Expected behavior: Mouse 'back/forward' buttons register the 'back' and 'forward' navigation commands as they did in 'Classic' Teams7.3KViews33likes24Comments
