kinda heavy but: i hope abuse victims of any type of abuse know it's literally ok to never forgive your abuser and that it's ok to have complicated but also hateful thoughts towards them.

sometimes it's healthier to just feel rage and unforgiveness towards someone than trying to force yourself to understand the nuance into why you were hurt. like, it's just ok to feel upset and pissed off instead of trying to be the bigger person.

Oh what's that? You only read books with lots of "spice" in them? Well then I've got a great one for you, practically the whole plot revolves around "spice". Ahem. In the week before the departure to Arrakis,

i saw this sign in a bookstore and it made me laugh so hard :’)

h8 being a fan of horror that explores themes about child abuse because itll be literally saying on the nose "this is a narrative about adults being more interested in their own fantasies and agendas than the well being of a child, and going so far as to commit horrific abuse towards said child to achieve their goals, and thats scarier than any possibility of this video game being actually haunted" and horror youtube clickbaiters will go "is this story about time travel and parallel dimensions?"

a movie will be about children locked in a house with a malevolent entity with no way out and apparitions of their mom in one scene telling the daughter about how she and her father are getting a divorce and the younger brother getting injured repeatedly by the entity and the daughter trying to protect her brother and getting disappeared for it, and yet, for some reason, people are dead set on theorizing that the story is about the younger brother being in a coma or hell or whatever And Nothing Else

and if I told you this is the Patriarchy defending itself as an immune response

So I know it's "scary" and "disturbing" and "uncomfortable" to see someone else experiencing symptoms of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder or psychosis in general, but can y'all just for one single moment, try to imagine what the person actually experiencing it is feeling and going through?

Because I guarantee their fear and discomfort and emotional distress is greater than your distress from witnessing it
