Ironically shortly after making my April 2025 post they suspended my Casting Call profile without any reason or way to appeal. Since then I've mostly been contacting users directly through NG for collaborative opportunities.
I haven't exactly been motivated to make much new interesting music since Birds of Paradise, I got around 30% through making that song and just felt so melancholic and didn't know what direction to take it - which is why it sounds like 2 different songs stitched together where the latter half is rushed and directionless. I just lost the spark since I was working on and off that song for months.
Since then I've been given the opportunity to voice some characters.
Produce for this years (and my first) Tankmas event
I composed a soundtrack for a short film
Luckily I have all the free time to pursue these creative endeavors while I'm continuing to jobsearch, also with it being the end of the year and all. I thoroughly expect my creative output to slow down drastically when I acquire a new full time job next year - that is if there's a space for me in it.
I'm currently editing a full demo reel for character impressions and I hope to have that out before January by the very least.
I've really felt unmotivated to produce anything meaningful for my YouTube channel after finding out some of my videos have been freebooted to twitter and acquired hundreds of thousands of views and likes and I never got an ounce of recognition from those reposts. It was enough to completely kill my motivation to make new videos for a long time, which is why there's been an absence of Microdub videos on the main channel as of late. I have some ideas for some new videos but just producing them just for someone to repost them uncredited and get almost no subscribers or recognition from it is just so aggravating. "What's the point? Were the laughs worth the time I spent editing? Just to be forgotten and my videos stolen?"
I don't even want or care to be internet famous, so I don't know why I'm so angry about not getting credited when my videos get reposted, I don't even mind being paid in exposure sometimes - but it's almost like they're taking credit for my transformative works.
Currently there are a new videos and music being worked on - when they will be finished is TBD
I don't want to spoil too much but I'm currently working on editing the new SapphireRain video which I have speaking roles in, as well as the sound effects, audio mixing and most of the overall composition except the artwork.
I will be in the next episode of the Espresso the Cat series as Mr. Polygon
I did a remix for the Chain Reaction collab hosted by PROJECT: Variance which will be posted on Newgrounds soon, hopefully along with everyone else's parts.
I have plans to post the soundtrack of the visual novel I was commissioned to produce on Bandcamp next year, I was hoping to wait until the game had released before publishing it but when it will actually be finished is anybody's guess.
I might even turn half my room into a little voice acting studio with soundproofing so the quality can improve even more for future projects. I might even consider getting a new microphone and everything.
Oh - and the Smissmas update sucked this year.
