I know the consensus among most fans is that Michael received the brunt/the worst of William's abuse since he's not the "favorite." But, the concept of a short exchange or conversation between Vanessa and Michael going like:
"I can't believe you were his favorite."
"Michael, he'd beat the shit out of me."
"At least you had his attention."
Just so neglected by his own father that he craves any type of attention Vanessa gets—even if it's negative—because then at least his father would be paying attention to him. Meanwhile, Vanessa struggles to comprehend why this is his thought process because she's the one who has to deal with William's attention in whatever form it comes in and she would not wish that on her younger brother of all people.
Soulslike boss where when you get them below 20% hit points it triggers a taunt where they refer to themselves in the third person, and the name they say is completely different from the label on the on-screen health bar. The game immediately pauses, buffers, then displays a popup informing you that someone else's health bar has been shown in error and apologising for the inconvenience. The depleted health bar is then replaced with the correct (full) health bar, and the fight resumes.
