if you’re going to talk about the mass starvation of Palestinians (which thank you) and the long term epigenetic affects please don’t forget about Sudan. the Sudani people are going through one of the worst starvations in history. more than 24 Million are facing acute hunger, with an estimated 500,000 children alone already dead from starvation. please be vocal about the horrors happening in Sudan right now. they will feel it for generations to come as well and it is just as heartbreaking and anger at the world inducing and important to speak on it especially in the context of the dangers of forced famine

i feel like i’m going a little crazy trying to fundraise on here because nobody will even reblog a post for a palestinian if it’s not vetted by like, one or two specific people who have massive spreadsheets, but then i, a white english speaker can make a like two line post for myself get a couple hundred on a matter of days
your hesitation to trust palestinian fundraisers is entirely founded in racism and distrust of people who don’t speak english to the same degree of fluency as native english speakers. i am sick of pretending it is anything different.
like genuinely the most success i’ve had with fundraising has been running in person markets that are an Event detached from the people that we are raising funds for, where attendees aren’t really thinking about who they’re raising money for but are patting themselves on the back for the vibes of donating to direct aid funds. and even then we still get people giving us funny looks and asking a million questions to ensure that we are absolutely 100% certain that we aren’t talking to scammers. and telling us we should be donating to like fucking unwra or something oh my god
the last two campaigns - for mahmoud and maysara respectively - are both especially low on funds, neither has reached $1,000 yet

I think it’s important now more than ever to understand that the media is always trying to misdirect from the horrific violence going on in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Horrors are still happening. Bombs are still falling. People still need help.
